4 out of 5 eggsGreat Choice For Average Home User

Pros: Performs as advertised. It upscales nicely, changes discs quickly enough and produces rich sound that will more than fill the average users home impressively.

Cons: No cons as I knew what to expect before purchasing and wasn't disappointed by any unexpected surprises. READ EVERYTHING you can find and if possible, try out any product before purchasing!!! That usually helps more than anything in avoiding disappointment.

Other Thoughts: This isn't the unit for the person that's spent tens of thousands or more building a home theater. It is a great choice however for the average home user, looking to improve upon a current sound source that's built into the TV/Tuner. Adding this to our 62" HD DLP TV has transformed our viewing/listening experience every bit as much as previously jumping from our old 27" TV to the HD big screen. Great fit for us!

The wireless option is nice enough and works exactly as advertised with no problems. You'll still need to run wires from the wireless receiver to the rear speakers, but the advantage is not having to run the wires to the back of the room. It also adds another 60 watts of electrical use to run the wireless receiver... Don't forget to shut it down when not in use!

Remember, you get what you pay for, and this is a nice unit that will do what it's claimed to do for the average user. Audio/Videophiles need not apply however, if you can't understand this equation...

5 out of 5 eggsGood Simple System

Pros: System sounds excellent. No distortion. Speakers will automatically adjust for surround sound and back depending on what you're watching. Upscaling on the DVD player is great. HDMI in and out ports. Wires included are plenty long. Wireless support.

Cons: The unit itself is very long, it may not fit in some entertainment centers.

Other Thoughts: I don't own an Ipod so I haven't been able to test if it works with one, though the box claims to support them. Sounds is excellent with this system, it is a good option for anyone looking for an easy-to-use home theatre system.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent, but a bit expensive on Newegg.

Pros: Upconversion is pretty good, 5 disc changer, decent sound, can play files from a USB drive. Supports HDMI and audio input for some surround sound from the TV. Also supports optical. Cables included were long and were color-coded so I don't need to run from speaker to home theater making sure the cables were correctly installed. I haven't heard any distortion at high volumes.

Cons: DVD's take a bit longer to read but not a big deal. However, IT DOES NOT SUPPORT IPODS AND MOST OTHER MP3 PLAYERS! My system came with an iPod cable but what's the use? I only get a USB ERROR when I plug in my iPod. Speakers also easily tilt over but no real biggie. The subwoofer is not heart-thumping but the bass is decent enough for the average home.

Other Thoughts: Buy it at a local electronics store - I got mine for much less than $300.
