5 out of 5 eggsKlipsch SW 350 sub

Pros: Very good sub. Blends very well with any speaker or system. I have def tech 350 monitors with other def techs completing the system, and Klipsch F20's with Quintets on the other system. . Both systems powered by Yamaha Aventage, one a RX 820 , the other is the RX 2020. I tried this sub with both systems. This sub is excellent and has just the right punch and base. I have a giant Polk PSW 505 (12") that I got from New egg which is also an excellent sub. The Polk is a bit too big and you need to make room for it. The Klipsch is a little smaller and not as much as an eye soar.

Excellent sub for the price and don't let the smaller size (8") fool you. It performs just as well as the big boys. I would of got two of these knowing what I know now. This sub easily performs just as well with the bigger Polk I have.

Cons: The power cord is a bit small, but it doesn't effect the performance at all. May be a con or not to some people. There is a blue light in front of the sub that lets you know if its on or off. I look at it as a Pro. It lets you know when the sub is off or idle and you will know what is going on with it. To some, this might be an eye soar.

Other Thoughts: Overall, this is an excellent sub. I had little to no adjustment for it. Great for movies and music. I listen to classic rock, blues, soft rock, etc and its excellent for all of them.

5 out of 5 eggsFor 199.99 the best!

Pros: CHEAP! 199.99 Spot light sale
High Quality Finish
Not too big
High Quality Sound

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: So I went to my local Best Buy to check out subs and this Klipsch SW-350 was there. This sub at full blast will shake the shelves "I tested it :)" I thought to myself if I can get this bad boy for less that 349.99 I will get it. I looked on Newegg and they had this sub on Spotlight for 199.99 so I bought it. For the money this thing destroys any the Polk PSW 110 and every other sub in its class even at $350.

The sub is not giant so that is good and the matte black finish of the sub looks great. This sub is worth $350 in my opinion and I would recommend it to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent sub

Pros: Great bass output for an 8" sub. More than enough bass for my mid-sized living room. I only have it on about 1/3 volume and it rocks my world.

Cons: Doesn't cook bacon or make sammiches.

Other Thoughts: The sub was larger than I expected. I had read the specs but failed to sit down and see how much room I'd need in the corner for it. I'll have to slightly rearrange my living room to accommodate but it is definitely worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat low bass

Pros: I decided to replace my Z-5500 speaker system with this sub and a denon avr-1912 while keeping the drivers from my previous system. I don't recommend doing that because the sub on the Z-5500 does a lot of mid-range. The bass on the new system is incredible. You don't hear is as much as you feel it. Sound is very clear and calibration is easy and flexible. Overall it's a great low end sub.

Cons: None that I've seen yet. Maybe not powerful enough in large rooms.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Subwoofer

Pros: Clear, powerful base can rock the whole house if desired. Have this and the 10", both are overall superb. Even at very low volume these make for a fuller surround sound experience.

Cons: None for my needs, except they are more expensive than other, lesser speakers

5 out of 5 eggsPounds like a 10+

Pros: Replaced a Logitech Z-5500 sub/system with a new receiver and this sub, still using the Logitech satellites. This 8" pounds twice as hard as that Logitech 10! To be fair, the sub cost me as much as that entire Logitech system but it still hits hard. I have the gain on the sub less than half because the wife got tired of it rattling the windows.

Cons: The light in front is a little bright. The top also has a small lip and if you wipe it off the dust can collect right near the edges. My room is rather large I guess at 14' X 30' and there are some dead spots but you can't see the TV from there anyways!

Other Thoughts: My receiver didn't have LFE out, just a mono subwoofer out. At first the volume seemed low just using the single cable plugged into the left (LFE) input on the sub. So I got a mono to left right cable and ran a stereo cable to the sub instead for much better sound.

5 out of 5 eggsSimply phenomenal

Pros: Got this for $200 with a promo code and it's definitely worth $350.

Still breaking it in after 2 days but even at lower volumes it just blows other subs out of the water with its rich response.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Make sure to use a quality cable like the belkin I just got (don't waste time and money on monster).

Also make sure to use it with a receiver that has LFE out and set the lowpass to bypass. Turn the phase to whichever settings produces more output and you won't ever regret this purchase at any price.

5 out of 5 eggsKlipsch

Pros: Who is Klipsch!!! ??? LOL Klipsch was founded in 1946 by one of the industries top audio engineers Paul Klipsch, who has received some of the industries highest awards. They have been one of the top audiofile speakers for over 50 years. They make some of the most efficient speakers on the market. I have Klipsch Heresy fronts (don't make them anymore) that are to this day are phenominal. The Klipschorn (Klipsch corner horns), if you have never heard them are UNBELIEVABLE and the only speaker to be in continuous production for 60 years with only minor changes; which is why some many theaters use Klipsch

Cons: After Paul Klipsch died in 2002 his cousin Fred Klipsch took over and while still excellent the company has changed a bit moving more toward mass produced higher end consumer products

Other Thoughts: Because the speakers are so efficient it requires less hardware to drive them to higher SPL's

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: As for the person who said that he had never heard Klipsh speakers and subs, just notice the speakers when you next go into an Imax theater. You will see the massive Klipsh speakers all along the walls of the theater. I figured that an Imax theater would choose Klipsch speakers....then how could I go wrong. Needless to say.....I didn't.

Cons: None that I can think of.
