1 out of 5 eggsThought it would be a great computer

Pros: Cool Case
IT GLOWS
Allows you to change the level of processing VIA front slider
It's an I7

Cons: This computer has been a nightmare since day 1, the FIRST one that I owned worked for about a week then proceeded to lose video signal and go into sleep mode. After attempting to troubleshoot this problem, I solved it for about two days. After these two marvelous days, it lost the ability to power on completely. We returned this one, and got a replacement. This one worked great for about a month, and today lost the ability to power yet again. After attempting to troubleshoot this for a few hours, I have given up and I am now patiently awaiting Monday at 8:30 EST so I can call Newegg tech support and hopefully get a refund for this as promised to me during the first return.

Other Thoughts: I thought Lenovo was a brand to have trust in, and I was horribly mistaken. This will be the last of many Lenovo/IBM computers that I will purchase.

2 out of 5 eggsCan't share the enthusiasm...

Pros: Nice case...

Carry handle on the top...

i7 Processor...

Cons: I confess to having incomplete and partial knowledge in making some of these remarks, and to NewEgg's great credit, they were gracious in offering a credit for my desire to return a nonreturnable item.

Within minutes, it bluescreened upon my attempt to install ZoneAlarm... then the battle just began with Windows 7's "auto repair". It couldn't "repair", and refused to complete the booting process at all.

The graphics card, while OK, is nothing special. Expect to replace it.

The power supply... 280 watts for what purports to be a powerful machine with that Pentium Processor? You WILL NEED to replace it!

There aren't enough bays for much in the way of additional HDD's, and those half-witted, low profile, front drive bays! Heaven save us from this kind of space saving engineering! Those hatches...!

The add-on card slots are insufficient, at best. One of those taken up by an internal card providing add'l SATA drives... with no real place to mount add'l drives

Other Thoughts: I'm sure that lenovo takes pride in their PC's, and other purchasers here seem to like theirs, so am I the only problem child here, with mine? It just strikes me that if you want much in the way of flexibility, steer clear. There's a price to be paid for the somewhat more compact case.

I wouldn't write songs about the mobo, either. I understand there was a recall of some IdeaCentre mobos (perhaps none of NewEgg's stock), and users have endless grief trying to get into their BIOS when needed, with the replacement boards. I struggled with what is normally an easy task, but did manage to get in, to try booting from another device. If I'm wrong about this recall recollection, apologies extended where due.

Really a nice looking box, with a fine processor of course, but why cheap out in crucial spots?

1 out of 5 eggsMost disappointing purchase

Pros: Attractive box

Cons: Well, this isn't exactly an unbiased opinion because I just spent well over $700 (after taxes, S/H, warranty)and it has crashed three times since I have owned it. Don't ever try to install anything on it because that's what causes mine to crash. So, if you do need to attach any peripherals, you could possibly use this machine.

I purchased this for a home business-one that requires processing many people's financial data, I'm too worried about this crashing again that I can't use it for any really important data processing or storage.

So as long as you don't need to attach a printer, other programs or use it for anything that you aren't attached to, I guess it's just fine or at least that's what newegg and lenovo both seem to think. Oh and forget about the built in restore program, that doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: If anyone now the the phone # to the ceo of lenovo, please share. Kidding aside, the PC I bought is too unreliable to put anything on it. It crashes so often that its a waste of money putting any programs on it. i have tried getting support from both newegg & lenovo both say there is nothing they can do but they both have said they are sorry. also, don't try using any of nuevo huevo promos or coupons

4 out of 5 eggsPowerful - but not for gaming

Pros: Processing speed is incredible! I purchased the computer to do multi-track recording and it chews up tracks and spits them out with no effort whatsoever! The mouse is a bit flimsy and is a ps2 mouse, but the positive is it doesn't hog a usb port unneccessarily. I didn't buy the computer for gaming, so my graphical needs are low. I want it for the processing power and it delivers. There are no issues with memory, or hard drive access and the power supply is more then sufficient and quite economical for my needs. Hard drive at 1T is more than adequate for now - as I'll mostly be running applications from the C drive and be adding other backup for recording. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better performer for the money. Haven't use product support yet and hopefully won't need to.

Cons: Right out of the box, the Lenovo Screen saver - apparently a 3d intense graphics program would stop and start. I can't emphasize enough this is not a Graphics oriented machine - unless you plan to add a good graphics card. Adding cards may also tax the power supply which is sufficient for the current configuration, but probably won't accommodate more power requirements.

Other Thoughts: If you're a gamer, plan on adding a good vide card, and bigger power supply. If you're just crunching numbers and/or want this machine for multi-track recording, go for it. It makes a great machine for my recording studio and I'm a happy camper.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Nice box design

Other Thoughts: Glad I bought it

5 out of 5 eggsCool computer

Pros: Runs great

silent

Cons: power supply (280 watt) and video card (gt 420)

Other Thoughts: super cheap even including a good video card and power supply, this was worth it

I am just curious, if anyone knows if I am able to fit a GTX 285 in there or a similarly powerful or more powerful video card.
