3 out of 5 eggsSort of multi-media

Pros: This lenovo all-in-one is one of the best. Although by current standards the CPU is dated (sandy bridge instead of ivy bridge CPU), it runs everything smoothly.

The touchscreen is just as responsive as any other similarly priced all-in-one.

Includes a VESA-100 bracket for mounting onto a wall or on your own VESA standard stand. Which unless you are sitting in front of it, you will want to change the stand. But make no mistake, the included stand is very well constructed and strong.

You can turn off the monitor in a single keypress! This was huge for me and really unexpected. There is a touch sensitive button that kills the monitor and turning it back on is nearly instant. Seems like it might just kill the LED backlight, but however it works, THANK YOU Lenovo!

Running, the system is nearly silent. I didn't hear the fan at all while playing back some 1080p movies across my network. On boot-up you can hear the hard drive click-clacking away, so you may plan for an SSD in the future and get the 1-2 punch of reduced noise and increased speed.

Cons: No Spdif or dedicated audio output. Seriously. I understand the all-in-one philosophy, but anyone running this on a desk or wall will want the ability to run sound to another device. The headphone out is amplified differently than a normal 'line-out' so, it works, but not very well. If you want to run 2-channel or 5.1 to anything, this is not for you. Maybe you can stream it through the HDMI out to a receiver, but that's not my game. (Yes, i knew it didn't have this before purchase, I'm just adding it in here as a system con).

The screen is pretty blah for being a 'multimedia' computer. It's a basic TN panel, so you basically have to mount it on a wall or stand and look at it head-on to watch movies or anything.

It's also heavier than I thought it would be. My tempered glass-topped stereo stand probably won't handle the weight elegantly. I guess that's why Dell's AIOs use an external power brick, anything helps.

Small quibble, but it ships with a Hynix memory module. Really, Lenovo? Guess it's just the 'Think' products that use Samsung memory, not these lower-end 'idea' ones.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this as a replacement computer that I setup to play back music for my 2-channel stereo system. I needed to pickup a USB->spdif adapter to run a signal to my DAC. But using a large touchscreen to control my music player is just a great change vs mouse and keyboard and little phone control apps/websites. I also don't have a TV, so i figured I could use it once and a while to watch movies... I still have to figure out how I want to mount the beast. a 23" just looks dwarfed on a wall mount.

By the way... did I mention that you can turn the screen off and on INSTANTLY? No need to have your retinas burned and turning it back on is FAST, not just quick, FAST. Much faster than any monitor or TV that I've ever used.

The 3 most important upgrades to me would be:
1 - Replace spinning drive with SSD
2 - upgrade memory to 8gb ('cause it's cheap)
3 - Blu-Ray (but I'm not 100% sold on hd2000 graphics for this)

Oh, and don't forget about the windows 8 upgrade for $15, might as well play the multitouch game as microsoft designed it to work. Oh, and the upgrade is win8 pro so you'll gain the ability to use remote desktop again that home premium doesn't allow.

I would appreciate the ability to replace the CPU with an ivy bridge chip to hopefully get HD4000 graphics, but I'm not about to hold my breath on that one.

1 out of 5 eggsNot So Good

Pros: It booted and when the screen is on it works OK

Cons: If it goes to standby or screen blank it never comes back on again. The screen is black and the only way of getting it to work again is pull the plug and hold power down for 10 + seconds, reattach power and boot. Not really workable and Lenovo T.S. was of no help.

Other Thoughts: Back it goes.

5 out of 5 eggsLenovo All-in-One

Pros: A fast Core i5 processor reduces HandBrake video conversion times from 4 hours to one hour. Yet the four core temps settle at 60 deg C with little fan noise while running at 100% and 2.5 GHz. No cable jungle as my configuration uses only a power cable and a TV antenna connection.

The television has good sensitivity and works separately from the computer. It can also appear in a window on the computer after setup.

Lenovo actually adds useful software like Angry Birds and Chrome browser. Two USB 3.0 connectors are on the rear.

Cons: The Bluetooth mouse and keyboard have a one second wake up period if left idle. The big, beautiful monitor leans back slightly on its kickstand so you need a low desk or high chair to view it squarely. A wall mount adapter is provided, though.

Windows Media Center doesn't use the TV tuner properly and only strong channels appear. So you'll need to find another program to record TV. I did get the 32 bit EasyHDTV to work after installing the AC3 Filter audio decoder.

The $100 discount has likely expired by the time you read this review.

Other Thoughts: To setup the TV, leave the computer off and turn on the TV with the remote control. Then dig through the menu to scan for channels. The TV remote favors long key presses.

The Windows 7 text is preset to 125% which distorts some applications. Setting it back to 100% fixes these problems.

5 out of 5 eggsreally nice all-in-one

Pros: *Nice screen
*Compact for the the size of the screen
* Touchscreen is very accurate not gimicky
*Can't beat the price for what your getting

Cons: I haven't found any yet

Other Thoughts: I have been looking around for a all-in-one for about a month now, just couldn't seem to find the best bang for my buck until I discovered this one. ABSOLUTELY love this computer, its really fast and looks great to, screen is really sharp too. I've heard all-in-ones are hard to upgrade, but I found this one rather easy, the back just slides open, I upgraded from 4 gigs of ram to 8 gigs in about 5 minutes, can't wait to upgrade this to windows 8
