3 out of 5 eggsGreat specs - weak motherboard

Pros: powerful processor, great videocard, built in overclock.

Cons: overclock is not customizable, super high overclock temperatures, weak motherboard and non-headline hardware

Other Thoughts: First one I got was a lemon - every time I'd try to load a demanding game, it'd shut down. Got the replacement, which thankfully works. Problem is the motherboard has no room for expansion, the sound card is unstable (sometimes fails critically, causing the OS to shutdown and meaning I have no sound for days), and apparently OC'ing the processor means extremely high temps. I know this processor is known for high temps, but if OCCT is telling the truth, this processor gets close to *metling point* if you max the 'one-key' overclocking. The motherboard's firmware is completely locked off, so I can't dig deeper to figure out what's wrong. Moreover, the 'one-key' is a bit sticky and doesn't always stay clicked in. Very mixed bag, but it was cheaper than anything I could make myself. Even if I need to replace the motherboard (which would be a chore) I think it's still worth it. Be prepared for issues if you get a lenovo performance PC. The other reviews apparently aren't savvy enough to know when their rig is chintzy underneath the hood, but man. That friggin motherboard is sorely taxed by all the hardware. Oh, and the card reader is extremely slow.

4 out of 5 eggsPros and Cons

Pros: I bought this computer specifically to run MS Flight Simulator, which until now, I have not been able to run wide open with such smooth results. I did have freeze ups at first, the worst I've ever experienced, with FSX seldom running for 30 seconds before crashing to desktop, but some internet research led me to a Microsoft.dll file, developed for another purpose, that could be placed in FSX main folder (download UIAutomationCore.dll). Now it runs without freezing or blue screens. It does what I hoped it would, and even beyond my expectations for FSX. I don't play other games.

Cons: Two things do not work. When overclocking is activated, it does not report that the computer is running faster. In fact, a digital readout shows the same speed no matter what setting you select. Worse yet, I accidently left overclocking on while doing some regular internet surfing, and experienced a meltdown which the computer eventually self corrected after 45 minutes of several restarts accompanied by reports of a hardware failure. I've decided never to turn on overclocking with this function again. At any rate, the computer does all I want at it's regular 3.5 GHz speed.

Second, the computer also came with a hot swappable hard drive, which I didn't expect, but was delighted to find. But it doesn't work. It's just dead.

Other Thoughts: I've decided to keep the computer as is, as I have the power I need for my limited purpose, and have bought an external hard drive docking station, which makes the hot swappable bay unnecessary.

I could contact Lenovo for help, but we all know the nightmare of dealing with manufacturers. Newegg states upfront when you purchase this computer, that all problems must be taken care of by the manufacturer. You cannot return this computer to Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsFirst gaming desktop

Pros: Ultra fast desktop, easy to setup and handle. Cooling inside. Run high graphics on almost latest games.

Cons: windows 8.1.

Other Thoughts: It's confusing to use windows 8.1 at first. There some annoyance with quick tabs. Other than that very satisfied with this desktop.

5 out of 5 eggsWorth The Wait

Pros: In every aspect of the computer's does everything FAST! Gorgeous graphics that keep up regardless. The overclock button is a blast as well as being useful.

Cons: None found yet...if I had to find one, it would be too much useless/redundant preloaded software (especially from Lenovo).

Other Thoughts: My initial worries about this computer wasn't about the computer or hardware, but about living with Windows 8/8.1. I have to say my fears were not realized as I made the switch from 7 to 8.1 without grief, and actually like 8.1 now! Operation of the OS became intuitive within a week. I have never owned a computer that could run a heavy graphics game along with multiple programs (with multiple windows) and the internet all at once. BRAVO Lenovo!
