5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Black glossy finish. Great price for an LG product. HDMI Ports are nice for high-def hook-ups

Cons: It's not 1080p. I looked at a 720 and a 1080 side by side and couldn't tell the difference...at least at 42". It would be nice if the screen was able to tilt up or down.

Other Thoughts: Love it. Would definitely buy it again. LG makes great products.

Pros: Excellent picture quality overall (after tuning). Sound is decent. Black finish does reflect but I like the look.

Cons: I wish the inputs faced down instead of rear for better wall mounting.

Color OOTB stinks. Way too contrasty and bright.

I have no idea what channels I am watching since there are no labels, it should pull this info automatically.

Other Thoughts: newegg is selling last years model at the same price as this years (which is not on the site). I didn't realize this until after I purchased it. I think the only difference is another HDMI input and a blue light on the front. This should have been more clear to me.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful TV

Pros: You simply won't find a better LCD TV for the price, and not to mention, it's an LG. 3x HDMI's come in extra handy for components, Optical, RBG connection for PC hook up. I also play a few online MMO's, and it's a blast playing on this TV / Monitor. The picture quality is absolutely amazing, and with the preset, and user defined settings, you can create a picture setup to your own particular style. One thing that amazed me was the "stock" sound of the built in speakers. Absolutely amazing, never expected such great sound out of built in speakers. True digital surround 2.0 and 5.1 settings.

Cons: Absolutely none. Some people mention the glossy black frame catching / reflecting light, I have mine in a living room that has very little actual "wall" space, it's all windows... The picture is so vivid and crisp, I'd have to focus on the the frame to notice reflection. Wouldn't matter if it were black, yellow, white, or green... glossy is what does it.

Other Thoughts: Everything in my house from washer and dryer, Microwaves, Refrigerator, Surround Sound are all LG. I've been using LG since they started making electronics with the name LG, and I can honestly say, I'll never buy a different brand. For anyone questioning LG's quality, or longevity... Nothing to worry about, they make an extremely solid, and reliable product, never had any problems with anything they've made.. all the way back to when they started out with cell phones. Buy with pride! As always, NEWEGG never lets you down, anytime I need something, NEWEGG is my first stop!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat LCD

Pros: Selected this LG LCD after comparing several other name brand LCD's in the same price range. Was able to compare the LG and Toshiba at Bes.t bu.y where the LG's HD picture was just amazing. This LCD is mounted on my livingrooms wall and it has a very nice crisp clear picture when using the HDMI input for the HD channels. The regular cable channels look pretty good when using the normal coaxil conection. I think I made a good choice. Neweggs free shipping and no tax sealed the deal. I also purchased a 4 year extended warranty.

Cons: the extended warranty only covers 1 bulb replacment for the life of the contract... but thats the norm I think. The speakers on the LCD are par but most people use a home theatre system anyway.

Other Thoughts: The xbox 360 is a blast to play on this LCD.. Having trouble with no sound when trying to use the digital connections with the Xbox. Looks and sounds really good with the normal AV connections though.

5 out of 5 eggsO.M.G.>>>NICE!

Pros: This is my 1st LCD TV. This is my 1st HDTV as well. I did alot of researching on several diffrent models in the Thousand price range and this LG by far had the best picture. I went to b-e-s-t b-u-y and compared this model with the toshiba before making my purchase, The LG had a crisper picture. Free shipping and no tax (NY) sealed the deal. 2 HDMI inputs is nice. I mounted my unit on the wall and it makes my newley renovated living room look like a millon buck. The HD channels look amazing using the HDMI input, almost 3-D. Im not an expert with LCD's, Plasma's and HDTV is new to me so research for yourself but do yourself a favor and consider this LCD with you comparision choices.

Cons: It might be my inexperience but the HDMI input doesn't display the non HD channels very well. The picture doesnt fit the screen (letterbox bars on the sides) even when I cycle through the diffrent ratio's (16x9, zoom, 4x3, ect). I use my cable input for my regular channels and the HDMI for the HD channels... I don't know, maybe thats what your supposed to do?

Other Thoughts: I am considering getting a 32 LCD for my bedroom.... I will definately check out the LG brand first. I couldnt be happier with this LCD. Thank you newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsNewegg Comes Through, Again

Pros: A lot of TV for the money. Like the black trim. Easy to set up. Nice picture...or an amazing picture if you're upgrading from an oldschool CRT like me.

Cons: Remote is a bit ugly, like the other guy said. I'm guessing you'll probably be looking more at the screen than the remote, however.

Other Thoughts: I actually had a very good experience with AIT. They called to set up a delivery (11 to 2 only on weekdays!) but they also gave me the option of picking it up at their warehouse which was a ten minute drive away. So Friday night at 10 PM I was backing up my SUV to the truck loading area and picking it up. Got it a full four days earlier than the estimated delivery time.

Newegg's price, no taxes, no shipping, quick delivery...this was a great purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect

Pros: Where to start. This TV is everything that I expected it to be. Plenty of connections for the average user, and the picture is wonderfull. Was a little worried about it only being 720P at first but since I don't watch many blu-ray movies this great for my needs.

Cons: Shipping was out sourced to a small local company. Not really a con as my TV came in perfect shape and the delivery guy even waited around until I opened it to make sure there was no damage. However, in some cities this may not be the case.

Other Thoughts: Could not have asked for anything more. Newegg as always was great. And everybody that sees this TV wishes they had bought it instead of there's.

5 out of 5 eggsJust WOW

Pros: - A+ for price
- 2 HDMI, 2 Component, RGB (computer) input, S-video
- Looks amazing in hd and still great in sd
- I hook my new laptop up to it through the dvi-hdmi converter I bough on new egg and its amazing as a computer monitor

Cons: - Menu doesnt have some of the option you might want but this runs great out of box compared to many big screens

Other Thoughts: I got it for six hundred and fifty bucks through a nice deal (four bucks off for direct tv which funny enough they couldnt get the signal at my house so I saved that for free) but at the special price for under a grand its still a steal even at original price you wont be diappointed

5 out of 5 eggsAIT Sucks

Pros: Looks great, low cost, good quality, no artifacts. SD programs look decent, was expecting worse.

Cons: Minor-
The glossy frame is a dust magnet.
Oddly the CD that came with TV was snapped in half. Not sure if anything good was on it.

Other Thoughts: Box arrived with hole in side. I shouldn't have signed for it but was willing to take the chance. Found 2 small gashes in screen and when the TV is on I can see damaged pixels. Once I sit far enough away I no longer see them. When I buy another someday I will spend the extra 200$ and buy in a brick & mortar.
