1 out of 5 eggsOK TV, Unchanged firmware

Pros: Its price was decent. The TV works and has a decent picture.

Cons: The Netcast and widgets that were so highly touted stopped receiving updates less than one year after purchase. Customer service from LG suggested I look into newer models.

While the price was good, I had no idea that the product that I was buying would have portions that no longer work less than a year after purchase. I will never buy an LG product again.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good picture, sound quality excellent. I love this tv. Built in Netflix.

Cons: Doesn't have built in wifi you still need a dongle. It is wifi ready not wifi built in. I didn't pay enough attention to the difference that is why i gave it four out of 5, but this is still a great purchase.

Other Thoughts: I would absolutely buy lg again.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic television at a great price

Pros: Excellent picture and sound. Numerous input ports.

Cons: Wireless ready = must purchase LG wireless dongle for $79 to take advantage. The special shape of the LG wireless port forces you to do this. This means if you want this feature you pay $79 for an item that sells generically for $15.

Other Thoughts: BUY ONE! IT IS AWESOME!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV at a great price!

Pros: Easy to setup, excellent picture and decent audio for a flat panel TV. Net Cast works great - NetFlix streaming has been flawless and my girlfriend uses it all the time.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: I purchased this TV on Tuesday and it arrived on Friday. Delivery was fast and efficient. The TV was just as described - I did order a wifi USB adapter for Net Cast. I had the TV setup in less than 5 minutes, including installing the stand and was enjoying a clean and crisp picture in no time. I got a great deal from NewEgg ($650) although it's priced higher at the time of this review. Thanks NewEgg!

1 out of 5 eggsBAD LG TECH SERVICE

Pros: Newegg shipped it fast and it arrived in one piece.

Cons: Power supply died next day after 1 hour of use. LG's tech doesn't understand that when your appointment is 13:00-17:00 showing up at 12:43(confirmed with LG Customer service that was the time the cancellation was put in) is not between that time. Tech called to reschedule at 15:00, I was outside at the time, missed call assumed I wasn't home. Didn't bother calling the 1st time when he wanted to stop by early, but after I told tech support I was home he felt the need to call. Rescheduled to the next day, 10 minutes to diagnose power supply was the cause. Part ordered, would install 4 business days later. Tech had personal emergency so canceled appointment to install part, no other techs work at this place? Still waiting to find out when my paperweight will be fixed. VERY FRUSTRATING

Other Thoughts: Any savings from buying this online have been lost thanks to LG's techs causing me to have to take multiple days off of work to get my day old TV fixed.

If it works out of the box, it's probably a nice TV, I'm still waiting over a week later.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent so far

Pros: Excellent value and a great picture. Wired Ethernet connections, Netflix looks great. Lots of HDMI ports.

Cons: Looks like the next version of LG TV's will use Plex software to stream from your media server and this TV might not be upgradeable. To stream movies/music from a PC it has to be running Nero MediaHome software (CD included with TV) from a fixed IP address. Plex software seems to be better choice and is due with new 2011 LG TVs per the press release. As stated USB thumbdrives work great. I haven't tried with an external USB harddrive yet though.

Other Thoughts: Sound isn't great from the TV speakers but that's been noted already.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent DEal

Pros: Picture is excellent just like on my bigger LG 55" 240hz LED TV. I bought this TV from newegg for $549 back in January. Nobody has came close to this price.

Cons: I sometimes have to turn the sound up high to hear it, but I think it is the HD channels on the satelite not the TV.
