It's an interesting race: even as they develop DLP and OLED screens, they continue to improve the older technologies as well. As they're all compatible, the winner is you, the consumer!

Fast (6ms), high contrast (10,000:1), wide viewing angle (176° vertical and horizontal) and multiple resolutions (480 i/p, 720p, and 1080p) make watching this LCD TV a joy, while NTSC, ATSC and QAM tuners mean years of protection from obsolescence. Multiple input connectors give you options for your video devices: analog RGB from your PC, HDMI, component video, composite video and even an RS-232 port. Despite being 32" it only weighs 39.7 pounds.

Competing technologies mean competitive prices, so shop and compare right now. We think you'll like what you see once you're done!

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for my needs

Pros: Small enough to fit in our existing shelving, easily addition of HD-capable equipment and other video sources, onboard speakers a bit better than what I was expecting. Will serve nicely as an insanely large monitor when I'm ready for a bigger TV. Prompt arrival in pristine condition, easy setup. No dead/stuck pixels. Firmware upgradable via USB flash drive.

Cons: Remote's a little busy, but at least laid out well. As expected, analog broadcast suffers in the upconversion, but that's no fault of the Aquos, and it's only minimally annoying.

Other Thoughts: I can't speak fully to the performance of this set at max resolution; I have seen 480i, 480p (from my Samsung Prog Scan DVD recorder), 720p and 1080i (over-the-air HD stations) and have been appropriately impressed.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a great tv. I had a 20 year old 20 inch Sony Trinitron that finally died and I decided to bite the bullet and get and HDTV and something bigger. I Almost sent this TV back because I almost broke out in hives at spending this kind of money, but after I watched tv on it for a few days the picture was just to good for me to give up. This tv is nice and thin, set up was quick and easy. I cant say enough about how great this thing is, totally worth the money.

Cons: I would have liked the stand to be a bit adjustable, but its not a big deal at all.

Other Thoughts: This is without a doubt one of the best purchases I have made over the last 5 years. This tv will keep me entertained for 10-15 years as long as it does not break, and judging by the quality of this product I don't think that will be an issue.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent TV

Pros: Wow is this BIG, fast enough for any gameing. This TV is wicked thin. Did I mention it is BIG. Especially on a desk. Don't get a 24" or 27" spend only a few extra bucks and get this 32". You won't regret it. The bezel on the 4U series is very thin. Much better then the 2U or 3U series. Not to metion the increased contrast ratio.

Cons: The only thing I can think of how to improve this is make the box it comes in out of chocolate, so I can eat the box while I set it up.

Other Thoughts: To the last reviewer on this TV about not refreshing when computer is already on. I'm assuming you have an nVidia chipset which inadvertanly has a problem with refreshing on any HDTVs. If you launch services.msc from your run line and disable your Nvidia Desktop Manager you will not have that problem anymore. I noticed this problem on Sony, Sharp, and Panasonic HDTV's. however, this refresh issue will only be a problem if you interupt your signal with something such as a KVM switch and only with nVidia graphics. If that doesn't apply to you then don't worry about it. This LCD rocks.

5 out of 5 eggsCrisp

Pros: This is an excellent display for console gaming and as a computer monitor. When there's no input to the display the black is so dark you can't even tell that it's on. It weighs so little for its size too. All in all I can't say enough about it.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: A little tricky to get it to recognize a video signal is coming from a pc to the hdmi ports if the pc is already on. Boot with it connected and you're great. Set one of the power management options (turn off monitor, standby, hibernate). The display pops right back up after it's been off that way.
