Features

Features
10,000:1 contrast ratio
Two of the most important factors in overall picture quality contrast and brightness achieve new heights by capturing blacker blacks and crisper whites.

SAMSUNG's DNIe - Digital Natural Image engine
SAMSUNG's exclusive Digital Natural Image engine makes the sharpest and clearest images possible, regardless of the profile of input signals. Five image processors and a six-time density enhancer ensure the best picture from any source. DNIe guarantees the truest colors and highest contrast.

Cinema Smooth light engine
SAMSUNG's Cinema Smooth light engine is the culmination of years of industry-leading research and development. It releases the maximum power of the new generation of DMD microdisplays for the most film-like picture. It creates an image with no visible pixel structure and accurate shading and better low-light detail.

Faster color wheel
SAMSUNG's 2.2" color wheel spins at 14,400 rpm for smooth fast motion video, and has five color segments for more accurate colors. It achieves film-like transitions without pixel breakup found in slower color wheel designs and slower switching LCD microdisplays. Air bearing technology also makes it whisper quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsSImply Amazing

Pros: amazing picture, my first big screen and boy did i get a good one, i bought mine though ABC Warehouse and got a pretty good deal, it was weird though cause they had one of last years models left and they wanted more for that one then the new one, and it was a display sold as is/open box(well NO box). it wasnt ticketed at the cheaper price but i dealt with the manager and he told me 1,499, it stead of the 1,799, plus i got $200 stand for free and $100 off three year warranty with FREE bulbs, plus in the process another $100 for something i dont remember...

Cons: sound is really no good, but if you have a tv like this suuround sound is a must. Also i did have a problem with the bowing image, now the top of the tv says very clearly not to place anything on top of the tv, but i set a small antenna up there and i think thats what set it off cause i didnt notice it until a few days after set-up, but ABC was more than happy to replace it, and now this one is fine, but just to be safe dont put ANYTHING on top of this tv

Other Thoughts: very sharp design, if you want DLP, here you go....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV makes this a GREAT DEAL

Pros: Better Picture IMO than LCD's I've seen. More inputs, tons of configurable settings for tweakers who need things just right. Was worried after reading many reviews regarding the bowing issue. Mine was shipped cross country and arrived early in perfect shape, no bowing at all. Picture is absolutely amazing. This TV is light as well, less than my boss's 46" LCD by same manufacturer by 15 pounds! (And $600 lighter on the wallet as well)

Cons: Notice slight delay with audio to my receiver from cable, DVD through HDMI does not have this issue, will test anotehr HDMI cable for sending Digital Cable signal from set top box to TV in hopes that this clears the issue.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Picture Quality is awesome, bright and vivid. I dont know what bowing is I havent seen it. I cant wait till all channels are HD.

Cons: It makes a popping sound sometimes but not enough to drop my eggs down. I didnt get it from newegg, local electronic store.

Other Thoughts: The TV comes with a 1 year warranty, the BULB comes with a 2 year warranty for those who dont know, you would have to put it in yourself which for some may be a chore but not for me, I have had this for almost 5 months and no problems yet, make sure you give it room to "breath" there are cooling vents on the side. Bulb replacement is fairly easy according to samsungs website. I did months of research before buying this and found it was perfect. Buy it and you will agree!

5 out of 5 eggsCouldn't Be happier

Pros: I read the reviews on here looking for a new tv to purchase to carry me over into the next few years to come. I'm glad I did, this tv has great clarity, no bowing of lines, no rainbow effects, nothing. The Colors are bright, the blacks and whites really show with the 10,000 contrast ratio. The sound isnt nearly as bad as everyone says, and the numerous connectors on the right side are enough to please any tech geek.

Cons: The only con I had was the delivery servicer. AIT delivery is good, but the customer service when i called in to their local vendor "roc air services" (local to Rochester NY) told me it'd be 3-5 days after estimated delivery that I'd get it.

I ended up getting it on time, after a few complaints.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a great tv that supplies all you need for movies, games, hd tv..... look no further. I'm glad I read the reviews.... this tv is the way to go. Thanks newegg! =)

5 out of 5 eggsPerfection

Pros: Absolutely amazing DLP TV, the perfect size with everything you can possibly have. All of the connections on the side not the back for very easy access. Great picture quality and so many features you'll find something new every time you turn it on. Very slim with practically not exist border around the screen. I even got 50 extra channel some with 1080i resolution without a digital box!

Cons: It may strain your eyes the first few times you watch but you get used to it after while, other then that nothing.

Other Thoughts: USB connection is great for playing music and view pictures super sized. I just need to find a way to use all the HDMI ports

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect Tv!

Pros: Colors are brilliant! The 1080p showing is magnificent. Even local channels here that do not show the best look amazing on this tv.

Cons: There is a known bowing problem (Straight lines tened to bow giving a fishbowl like appearance) with these TVs but I do not seem to be affected bt this.

Other Thoughts: The delivery was a little lacking but I didnt know what to expect with ATI as I had never used them before. So in all it was a good experience.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: True 1080p, Good variety of inputs. Speakers built in are pretty decent for average television watching.

Incredibly bright! The TV comes set at 45/100 bright setting, and even at 45, it's super bright. It will make you squint at some bright scenes when watching in the dark.

The remote is comfortable.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The TV does have a little bit of bowing, however when watching motion picture it really isn't noticeable. I purchased knowing that bowing could be a possibility, and wouldn't exchange it either way. I'd still recommend. If you're unsure, go to a local TV store, you know, the one with their logo inside the big yellow price tag. See what it looks like there. If you can deal with it, then buy it here.

3 out of 5 eggsBowed Picture

Pros: Excellent Image Quality

Cons: I have to admit that most Samsung DLP televisions have a defect by design regarding the geometry of the image that is displayed on the screen. When viewing straight horizontal lines, they appear curved upwards on the left and right hand sides. With the first model I purchased, the Samsung tech guy said to have it replaced. The second model had the same issue, so I had another Samsung tech look at it and he said that these models (HLTxx76S series) are made with a flimsy screen that causes the image to bow.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend a DLP tv that has a more rigid screen.
