5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Wonderful Picture

Pros: This TV is amazing for viewing HD movies, absolutely perfect picture quality and sound make for a great experience. Not only that but this TV packs a lot of features but my favorite one in particular is being able to play .MKV files directly from a portable hard drive. Works well with a PC hooked up to it as well.

Cons: No included HDMI or DVI cables/adapters. Be sure to buy some with the TV.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat tv

Pros: crystal clear picture, nice blacks (for a lcd), no problems of ghosting, free shipping (and received tv in 3 days), no dead pixels.

Cons: plays an annoying sound when you turn the tv on and off. speakers are nothing special.

Other Thoughts: I spent a lot of time doing research online and even went to the stores to look. Samsung's are definitely the best tv's out there. I mainly use this for my xbox 360 and am very satisfied. When hooking up my laptop (which is nothing special) to the tv via the pc input it only displays in 720p (which makes sense since it's not a hidef signal coming in), but everything is still nice and clear. Would recommend this tv to anyone.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent picture quality that can be tweaked to suit your fancy in myriad ways. Excellent refresh rate and the benefits of 1080p cannot be denied.

Cons: The sound is tinny even when compared with my small, cheap, ancient PC speakers. There is also sound lag of 1/6th to 1/4th of a second from my PC to the TV. I am planning on setting up surround sound anyway so it isn't that big a deal, but if that isn't in your budget then this should be a serious consideration if you want good sound.

Other Thoughts: Excellent buy for the price (especially at Black Friday prices). Great for the display of a home theater set-up and with a good sound system will yield good results without breaking the bank.

5 out of 5 eggsBeautiful TV for fantastic price

Pros: Perfect screen- No dead pixels
Aspect ratio is perfect for TV and films: Full screen HD!
Comes with a great stand and remote
Tons of useless features: Twitter, Yahoo! Weather, Art Gallery mode build in!

Cons: Menus are convoluted: Changing source takes a while
"widgets" are pretty useless and slow responding
DLNA is pointless and neutered
No LED back-lighting (but you shouldn't care anyway, see below*)
120 Hz is pretty much pointless until hardware start supporting it

Other Thoughts: Glossy screen is a trade off: It shows contrast really well and images are very vivid, but if you have a well lit room, you can see reflections in blacks.

*I'm a psycho for quality and had a 24" SAMSUNG before this one, knowing that it was the right brand for me. LED back-lighting is mostly just buzz in my opinion and for a few hundred less than their cheapest LED TV, I got a 40" that looks just as pretty. No one has proven the energy savings of LED back-lighting, so while I think they are great in concept, I decided to wait it out until they can bring them to a reasonable price and instead get this beauty.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE THIS TV

Pros: Amazing picture
Great for gaming
amazing second monitor for pc
samsung wiselink works great
you can rent blockbuster videos directly to the tv
no noticeable motion blur while gaming
the set looks great

Cons: @internet feature a little laggy with remote
slight motion blur on certain settings (could be my cablebox)

Other Thoughts: Great TV for the money. Couple places rate is the #2 lcd tv for the year. Nearest competition is double the price.
Very Happy with how fast New Egg shipped this and how well it was packaged.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome LCD TV

Pros: - Great picture quality
- Excellent whites/blacks
- 120Hz works great for native HD signals
- HD Tuner works very well
- Ethernet port
- Plenty of connections
- Automatic online software updates
- Draws near 0.1W at idle
- Nice remote

Cons: - 120Hz can create the illusion of lag while watching non 1080p signals; this can include dvds or 360 games.
- Widget menu is slow to respond to commands.

Other Thoughts: In response to the game lag post, try turning off 120Hz mode; I saw the same thing until I turned that off. 120Hz takes some getting used to. For most things, I have it disabled because some of the effects it creates aren't appealing to me.

Overall, this TV is awesome. The picture is great, the feature set is great, and the Samsung name is worth the extra cash. Highly recommend!

5 out of 5 eggsLN40B630 - got it in BBuy

Pros: I have found great deal in BBuy ($999.99 on 3 year no interest plan with my bbuy card) and did not let it go. I replaced 37" ViewSonic 720p HD that I got at newegg for $599.99 two years ago (MIR).
Samsung I got has only one difference than this 650 and that's contrast ratio (80k vs 100k :1) - I can live with that :) ... So, TV picture is simply amazing. 120Hz makes it smooth for the most part in the movies and not all commercials - anyway not all commercials are recorded to keep up with 120Hz anyway - so I am fine with that... Brightness, Color, Design, Response, 4ms, etc - everything is just excellent. My Quad Core computer also looks amazing on 1080p resolution. Simply the best...

Cons: I have not noticed any so far, however did not get it for gaming - therefore, no gaming (bad) experience like the comment below. I would say get projector for big screen gaming vs big screen LCD HDTV - just because of the risk you are facing when you get LCD HDTV to game on... it is made to be TV and to handle some gaming - therefore, think twice or test it out first...

Other Thoughts: I recommend this TV to anyone!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Performance

Pros: This tv is aesthetically pleasing. The auto setup is easy enough plus it comes with a USB that has a manual on it. The tv has hard drive capabilities and can hold pictures, music, and movies.

Cons: Not sure how I feel about the yahoo widgets. The tv has an Ethernet hook up on the back and you can get weather updates, news updates, and ect. That just seems like overkill to me.

Other Thoughts: Samsung is a bit more pricey than other HDTVs, but you’re getting brand reputation great performance. Also, when I registered my tv on their website, I got an extra 3 months warranty!

4 out of 5 eggsRough out the gate

Pros: So this T.V. looks great. Very dark blacks and very bright whites.
-The design is very nice
-Easy to use interface
-Remote control looks good (besides the slightly cheesy looking buttons)
-Sounds isnt as bad as i thought. Nothing close to a full surround of course but not too shabby.

Cons: Well I got this T.V. mainly for gaming but so far its giving me soom issues. The 4ms response time SHOULD take care of ANY noticeable lag but it doesn't. I'm experiencing very noticeable lag WITH game mode on. So a def negative there.
I havnt had too much time to play with it so maybe theres something i can adjust to fix that. But for now I'll have to suffer for a bit.

Other Thoughts: Over all great buy. Unless your wanting to game on it (So far)

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I personally find that this TV has a great picture and very good sound. The 1080p view from a video game console is excellent with incredibly rich color, and I haven't had a problem with lag or judder in my games. I really enjoy the USB and network connectivity this offers since I rip a lot of my DVDs to file.

Cons: The software for using music and video on PC could definitely be better. The installation and configuration is cumbersome, and navigation once you are running is kludgy. As an example, it is limited to 32 directories, which if you organize your music like I do, is not nearly enough.

Other Thoughts: I would like to see a video resolution upscaling feature in future TVs of this line as I believe that ripping movies to file and then playing through the network is on a huge rise. Most people are still on SD sources, especially with so many years of the DVD standard behind us. The software could certainly be more feature rich as well.
