It works great as a gameing monitor,No lag,I run top of the line games.Turn sharpness down to at least 20 or your text will look bad.Some say they don't like the sound for the tv,i never turn mine up over 25, and it sounds great.

Pros: Samsung picture on the 5000 series is unmatched in this class of 32" HDTVs. I looked in other video stores at dozens of TVs before I bought this on sale at NewEgg for under three bills.
This is not a computer monitor, it is an HDTV. Those who think all HDTVs should be perfect computer monitors must make a lot of bad purchase decisions around computer tech trying to find what works without reading the specs.

Cons: Sound system is a little weak if you use this for your main HDTV. Fine for a bedroom system. Not enough to take off an egg.

Other Thoughts: Friend gave me an older Samsung DVD player with a full 5:1 surround sound system that I hooked up to this HDTV. He just got his Bose home theater system. I love knowing techno folks who have to have the newest gadget.
I was able to connect this to both my Sony BluRay player (Optical) and Samsung DVD player (HDMI) with the sound system. Had to set the delay to 25ms for the Sony player to sync with TV speakers. Great sound out of all units.

Pros: Easy to set up and get going. Light and perfect size.

Cons: Auto dimming is almost to low

Pros: Great picture quality; easy setup; sufficient HDMI/AV/coax inputs and audio output jack. Nice remote-control setup menu. Seems to have solid construction

Cons: A paradox: sound quality seems good, but sound volume seems limited. This can all be resolved with a PC 2.1 speaker system with a 3.5mm stereo jack plugged into the TV.

Other Thoughts: Everyone in the family is retired; we don't "travel" much; and everyone wants their own TV. We've finally expunged the last of our old energy-guzzling, heat-generating tube-type SD analog televisions. This Samsung HDTV should reduce total household wattage draw by 110W. How that translates to KwHrs, I'm not sure, but it's a significant decrease in power usage.

Pros: Vivid color. It makes a good computer monitolr.

Cons: The default settings are too bright. Colors wash out. You need to tune down the contrast.

Other Thoughts: Some people complain about refresh rate for 1080i. Used as a computer, it needs to pick the 1080p (60HZ) mode. 1080i(30HZ) is for interlaced TV mode. Also set the sharpness to 0.

Pros: Perfect 32 inch Computer Monitor, with one caviat - Monitor does not play well with sleep mode - see Other thoughts.

Cons: Hoping Samsung will respond

"PC support does not include "loss of signal" sleep (stand-by). Sleep is only available via a timer (2hr increments)...It is kind of annoying to have to turn it off and on every time you bring your computer out of sleep. And no 1080i at 60Hz support, 1080i is only supported at 30Hz (at least thru HDMI) which causes jittery response (but it doesn't claim to support it either)."

I wrote the review titled: "Great PC Monitor-Speakers are good too!"

This is the perfect 32 inch monitor for my home computer, but does not sleep when my computer sleeps / is turned off (TV turns itself off 15 minutes later with the correct settings).

BUT, more importantly, it does not turn itself on when the computer is turned on or awakes from a sleep mode.

hoping that there is some advanced setting in the service menu (or some simple setting too!!!) that we can adjust to make this feature work on a PC.

Other than that, GREAT monitor at an affordable price!

Composite A/V and Component Video what you would more expect from an outdated TV

No variable audio out

No variable headphone out, when almost all the competition has one. Better not even think about watching TV in bed or your likely to get a slap side the head.

Tuner performs poor, will not pull in some stations that have a strong signals, no signal strength meter, can not add additional channels software will not allow it. If you have an antenna on a rotter you end up rescanning every time you change channels.

Other Thoughts: If you don't have a problem the cons, it still has a Very good sound and picture, better than most TV's out there. To bad Samsung fails to perform in some of the more simple areas!

If you change the name of the HDMI 1 imput to PC or DVI PC or DVI, the setting change to give you pretty much perfect settings for using the TV as a monitor. Remote control Menu Sorce List then hit the Remote Controll TOOLS button, and you can select one of those three options.

Very impressed with both the video AND the audio as my primary computer monitor

I hooked this up with a Displayport to HDMI cable 11 dollars or so, and well worth it!

Use a digital connection (DVI-HDMI-Displayport) whenever available, not analog (VGA - Component) when hooking up a computer to a monitor.

Turn down SHARPNESS to ZERO for very clear text. If memory serves, "sharpness" is actually a form of distortion invented many years ago when everyone used "off the air" signals" and "sharpness" made the picture look better. Turning SHARPNESS down to ZERO makes the text very readable!

Also, I had to choose the ASPECT RATIO of "Fit to Screen Size" Unter the TV MENU button on Remote - PICTURE- PICTURE OPTIONS - VIDEO - SCREEN OPTIONS SIZE - SCREEN FIT

Very happy with this monitor as my primary computer monitor!

Cons: Does not angle up or down, I just put a small wedge under the stand.

Took me 15-20 minutes from opening the box, to using it on my computer.

Pros: As far as picture quality is concerned this TV performs like a dream (with a little tweaking). Picture quality and clarity along, there is no backlight-bleed whatsoever, and the colors are quite accurate. The contrast ratio is decent although definitely not the best I've seen, but for the price, it's satisfactory. Newegg's 3 day shipping was fast as I ordered on Saturday and received by Tuesday.

Cons: I only have really two gripes with the television, first being the lack of ports available. By this generation name brand televisions such as this one, no matter the price range, should come with 3 HDMI standard, while this of course can be fixed with various HDMI splitters, I wish the TV included 3 ports.
My second issue is the depth of the television, although not awful, one of the big advantages for many LED TV's are their relatively thin depth. While the Samsung is not overly huge it's not up to par with many other LED tv's in this range. But once again this isn't a deal breaker by any means.
