This LED HDTV allows you to immerse yourself in a 1080p full high-definition viewing experience. ConnectShare Movie lets you watch videos, play music or view photos from a USB drive. The impressive picture quality, excellent sound technology and slim profile design will transform how you watch TV.

  • newegg Full HD 1080p with HDMI The realistic detail of Full HD images invites you to enjoy a viewing experience that redefines reality. Two HDMI input connectors allow easy connection to a variety of AV equipment such as Blu-ray player, game console and more.
  • newegg Clear Motion Rate of 240 Experience sharp picture quality, even when you are watching fast-moving images like sports or action movies. Clear Motion Rate was developed to accurately measure how well an LCD or LED TV can depict fast-moving images. Previously, motion-clarity was calculated by the frame refresh rate alone. But CMR offers a more complete measure by calculating 3 factors: frame refresh rate, image processor speed and backlight technology. A CMR of 240 - 480 takes motion-clarity to the next level. LED TVs with this CMR can display action-packed movement with even sharper detail and deeper levels of contrast while eliminating image distortion.
  • newegg Wide Color Enhancer Plus Wide Color Enhancer Plus allows you to see picture color the way the director originally intended. Witness the entire RGB spectrum brought to life on your screen to bring you exceptionally vibrant, yet natural-looking images faithful to the director's original intent.
  • newegg Eco Sensor The unique Eco light sensor measures the intensity of the room's light and automatically calibrates the brightness of the image on the screen. In a sun-filled environment, the screen gets brighter and in dim surroundings, the intensity is reduced. This feature optimizes the viewing experience while also saving you energy.
  • newegg ENERGY STAR V 5.3 Compliant Go green and save the planet. This Samsung TV not only meets ENERGY STAR requirements; it exceeds them. This means more energy savings, lower utility bills and leaving a smaller carbon footprint on the environment.
  • newegg ConnectShare Movie ConnectShare Movie lets you watch videos, play music or view photos from a USB connection without needing to use a PC or special equipment. Simply plug your USB directly into your Samsung TV’s USB port and watch on the big screen with friends and family.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid tv, Not 120Hz at 1080p.

Pros: Easy to use.
Simple menus.

When I connected it to my gaming computer I had absolutely nothing to fix. It recognized the input as 1920x1080 @ 60Hz and filled the screen edge to edge perfectly.

Cons: I was a little disappointed that the refresh rate only goes above 60Hz at lower resolutions, but for the price I can't complain too much. -1 egg.

There is also a small amount of motion blur that you don't really notice unless you're looking for it. Plus a small amount of input lag, the input lag is not enough to impede gaming too much, but it's a tv, not a gaming monitor so you can't expect much.

5 out of 5 eggsBset 40 inch TV

Pros: Outstanding HD picture quality,Very Good Sound, USB media port is awesome for playing movie files, pictures, etc. The base is more solid than others.

Cons: Remote is kind of small but not used that much anyway if you have cable.

Other Thoughts: The best 40 inch TV I could find. I returned a few other TVs to a local chain before finally choosing this model on line. I did not buy this set from Newegg however I did pay more than the current offer. If you are looking for a 40 inch TV this is it.

4 out of 5 eggsNOT 120hz only 60hz

Pros: At 6-7 ft TV looks good, quality is high.
No Dead pixels.
Easy to use menu and settings.

Cons: THIS TV IS NOT 120Hz as listed.
Box looked like someone was offended by it and gave it a beating.

Other Thoughts: The 4 egg rating I gave is based off as if the TV was 60hz, it's not a bad TV, its just not 60Hz.
Idk what happened to box but TV was not damaged, no dead pixels either.
I would like to return this because I was specfically getting this for PC gaming with 120hz but I didn't do my research because the model on the samsung website even says it's 60Hz. I did try to manually set it but the TV just isn't capable of that refresh rate. I am getting flown back and forth and won't be able to return this so with luck just going to try to sell in the barracks.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat picture, not many inputs

Pros: The tv has a great picture and does just what it needs to do. The sound isn't bad either though you don't get much of the low end as you may like.

We have Cox Cable and were able to tune some of the digital channels with the tv on it's own. None of the paid channels just the basic free digital ones but it is nice to know that you can.

Cons: The number of inputs is extremely small, 2 hdmi 1 RGB and 1 AV along with the tuner.

If you have a lot of devices plan on getting a hdmi switch or better yet pick up a decent receiver for better sound and extra inputs.

No cable card slot so if you have cable and want the expanded channels and pay channels you have to use a receiver. For a TV with so few inputs the ability to tune the channels would have been nice.

Other Thoughts: I have noticed that from time to time the audio and video from the HDMI cuts out. I don't know if it's the TV or the device but generally wiggling and/or plugging out and then back in of the cable fixes it.

I have also been using this as a monitor for my PC as having just moved and have not gotten everything setup as of yet it's just easier to do. The audio works fine with my pc output through a Gigabyte GV-R685OC-1GD Radeon HD 6850

4 out of 5 eggsLarge and Sharp

Pros: Large, crisp, customizable, no extra fluff in the settings. Works great as a central monitor at 1920x1200 on my radeon 7970 GHz . Video & general use is crisp and fluid.

Cons: On high end games there's occasionally some ghosting of patches of pixels. Typically a small patch (50-100x50-100) will not update as quickly as their neighbors. This could possibly be resolved with a HDMI to displayport adapter however as I'm currently running the TV via HDMI to my 7970.

Other Thoughts: If you have the money to spend on a high CMR TV for your main desktop. Go for that more than anything else, the more you skimp on price the more noticeable of a difference it makes.

4 out of 5 eggsNice TV...Mine was defective..

Pros: Great Picture, Vivid Colors, Better Sound than other similar models, USB lets you play all file formats, Good Design, Easy to Set up

Cons: Little thicker than other LED TV's, 2 HDMI's, no swivel stand

Other Thoughts: The TV I bought from Newegg was brand new (for $589) and the sound on my tv died the very next day after I got it. I sent it back to newegg for a refund and bought the same model tv in 46 inch size. I owned several Samsung products in the past and this was the first time something died on me on the second day. Other than that the TV is pretty awesome with picture quality, The USB lets you play all movie file formats. There are only 2 HDMI's and since I own a receiver this is not a problem for me.

Samsung TV's are the best when it comes to picture quality and I would have given this a 5 egg rating if the sound did not die on the second day.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: •Well designed base to the tv
•Lighted remote
•Fair amount of A/V inputs
(component, composite and 2 HDMI)
•optical audio out and 3.5mm out
•Media Share*(see cons)
×Nice idea, I liked it in other devices they have on the market it's a nice addition, but I probably won't be using it.
•Option to just use external speakers is nice
•Internal speakers are okay for tv speakers* (see cons)
•Can customize picture settings and audio to your liking which is good because i didn't much like one of the three presets it has

Cons: •Media Share
×I didn't much care for its looks I guess I had expected more than what it was. I mean my old DVD player from 01' had a navigation screen quite similar to this file explorer screen
•Input placement
×I dunno it just seems like there was more real estate on the back that they could have fit the hdmi and usb ports there, but I'm sure this was arranged so it would make wall mounting easier
•Internal Speakers
×I don't know if its just me, but the vloume bar doesn't need to be turned up much for the tv to sound pretty loud. Might be an audio setting that I set
•Power button
×I thought it was an abnormal spot to put the power button, but it makes the tv look very clean so maybe not really a con just odd to me

Other Thoughts: So I received my RMA for this set and have had the chance to use it for a while. I've gotta say that I got what i was expecting from Samsung and am very pleased! I mainly use it to play netflix from my ps3, play games on and as a second monitor for one of my PC's. It has done well at handling all three of those task I've put it to and I am plannig on experimenting more with media share to see what files and drive sizes it can handle because I haven't looked into it at all.
