5 out of 5 eggsNice tv

Pros: I needed a small tv for my office/workout room and this fit the bill. It has good black levels, good picture with analog signals(only 2 more months to go), and picks up my unscrambled cable channels with ease.

Cons: I picked it up on sale here for $500 and I still think that is overpriced for what it is.

Other Thoughts: A nice tv, but not worth it these days when 42" plasma's sell for $300 more

5 out of 5 eggsA terrific TV!

Pros: Amazing clarity, color, contrast and brightness. Sound is not bad for this size TV.

Cons: Minor.... The submenu function on remote (which I really have had no need to use in the two months I've owned the TV) will not work in HDMI mode... have to switch to TV mode.

Other Thoughts: This is a great TV, at a great price from Newegg, for a smaller space. I have it in my kitchen as I like to watch TV while I am eating dinner.

Cons: Non that I can see right now.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't ask for faster service. Ordered on 11/29/08, received on 12/3/08.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Overall 26" out there

Pros: Great looking all around. This is my 6th flatscreen purchase in the last year, and I am very happy with it. Best viewing angle & Sound. Great Picture quality. Have it hanging in the Kitchen and is perfect. May not be as "sleek" looking as the LG or Samsung. But more than makes up for it in picture and sound quality. Also Rated #1 26" on Consumer Reports. Great price too (got it for 488 @ PC Richard on Bl Friday). New egg is not much more.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: A Little "Thicker" and wider than some other 26" models.
But is not a concern for me. Id rather get better performance. Just get it. You'll be happy you did..

5 out of 5 eggsTwo hour test only.

Pros: Packed great. Easy setup with channel scanning options. Great HD picture from over the air. Speakers darn good for built ins. No dead pixels apparent.

Cons: No DVI. Not a big whoop if you know this.

Other Thoughts: Unpacked and pluged in tiny OTA HD antena for test purposes (bought for a friend) and was really impressed. "Men in Black" HD happened to be on and I watched it again. ATSC tuner seemed at least as sensitve as my real home set up. I want one for myself but don't need it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat 26" HDTV

Pros: (1) Great picture quality - one of your better TVs for both standard definition and HD if you still need access to analog.
(2) Good sound for an LCD TV.
(3) One of the top rated HDTVs according to CR
(4) Good connectivity options - 3 HDMI is alot for a TV this size, as well as two component video in.
(5) Terrific viewing angle - I looked at several other options at this size, and a number of them really suffered from vertical viewing angle - picture quality changed dramatically when you stood up. Not so on this TV!

Cons: Remote is not backlit - not a problem for me, but if you need to see it in a dark room, it can be a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome TV, even better price

Pros: This is one heck of a TV at a great price. My research showed that this TV was packed with extras and had excellent tech specs (esp. contrast ratio and viewing angle). Picture is outstanding and I have no issues at all watching this at an angle from my bed. Speakers are 10 W compared to the puny 5 W that come with a lot TVs. I highly recommend it for its outstanding features and even better NewEgg price.

Cons: None so far. This TV met all my expectations.

Other Thoughts: Shipping was fast and easy (typical NewEgg).

5 out of 5 eggspanasonic TX26LX85

Pros: Excellent picture, easy setup, intuitive menus. descent sound, good value, lots of inputs, and attractive design.

Cons: Can't think of any at the moment

Other Thoughts: Bought this as a replacement for our 21 year old 20 inch bedroom Sony that just died. We have a 52 inch Sharp Aquos in the den that we use to watch movies, and we only use this TV to watch news and late night TV, but its a great TV for the price. The screen is bright and sharp, and even from 15 feet away the sound is respectable. I compared this set side by side with the LG and Sharp 26 inch models at a local store. I'm not sure if they were all set up properly, but the Panasonic clearly had much better blacks and more accurate colors than the other two sets. One thing I was particularly pleased with was the ability to surf channels quickly with this TV. Our Sharp LCD seems to require about 3 seconds each time you switch channels, making channel surfing a really slow and tedious process. The Panasonic takes only about a second to make the switch from one channel to the next. We've only had it a few days but so far we're very happy with it.

5 out of 5 eggsBest 26" lcd tv on the market today

Pros: Great picture; enough input options for a moderate home theater setup; viewing angles are better than most other lcd tvs; easy setup; good remote. A very stylish looking lcd tv; excellent price in comparison to other 26" lcd tvs.

Cons: The sound is only adequate, but I can play the audio through my home theater system so this is hardly a con.

Other Thoughts: After a fair amount of research and reading reviews, I decided to buy the Panasonic TC-26LX85. I've always owned Panasonic tvs because the picture is generally excellent and they last longer than most other brands. I was a little nervous about buying a tv over the internet, but I've had such great luck with Newegg, I decided to take a chance. The tv arrived faster than I expected and in perfect condition. I was astounded by the quality of the picture which exceeded my expectations. This tv is definitely a keeper... thank you Newegg, the best online retailer I've ever experienced, for doing such a great job from point of purchase to delivery.

5 out of 5 eggsPleased

Pros: Easy to set up and great value. The HD picture looks good on this set from my HD cable connection and due to small(ish) screen size standard definition is also pretty good (unlike my 46" Samsung).
The shipment from newegg came quickly and in perfect condition.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I did not receive a tracking number email from newegg so used the online chat function to request one and received the tracking # in minutes - no waiting on the phone and a very good level of service
