To further increase the entertainment, the ET5 series provides the consumer with four HDMI connections, two USB ports, DLNA connectivity and Wi-Fi capability for maximum input/output flexibility.

Delivering 3D Fun to Your Family A polarizing film on the display surface displays the left and right images for each of the odd-numbered and even-numbered horizontal scanning lines. When viewed through polarizing eyewear, different images are shown to the left and right eyes, resulting in the perception of 3D images. This method reduces the vertical resolution to one-half, but it is an easy way to view 3D images using light, economical eyewear. Plus, the unique Panasonic technology converts 2D images into high-quality 3D images in real-time. (When a 2D source is converted to 3D, the 3D effect is slightly less pronounced than with 3D sources.)
3D 24p Cinema Smoother VIERA gives you naturally flowing 24p images with the look and tonal characteristics of film, and familiar TV-like quality. This mode optimizes the number of frames of 24p images recorded from film sources onto media such as the Blu-ray Disc. Panasonic's advanced source analysis and frame generation deliver smooth, natural, lifelike images.
IPS LED LCD panel The IPS panel, which is known for its wide 178°* viewing angle and excellent light transmittance, is now further enhanced with a bright, energy-saving LED backlight. Images do not fade when viewed from any angle, and contrast is higher than in previous IPS models in spite of using less power. I wanted smart functionality for streaming services and a range video format support. Amaz on Prime, Hulu Plus, Netflix, Youtube, are all present out of the box! Ethernet connected, streaming in HD has been flawless. Native .mp4 .mkv .avi playback. This a passive 3D TV, the glasses are not powered. The lens are polarized so each eye sees 540x1920 px per frame. That might not sound to good, but your brain puts the image back together in fine form! It looks great, the glasses are light and you get 4 pairs. Also, any 2D video source can be turned into 3D with some algorithmic trickery! Its a more subtle effect than a true 3D source, but a nice option. The 120hz rate is butter and looks awesome without the dreaded "soup opera" look. Without any pairing what so ever, the Panasonic remote controls navigation on my PS3! The android app is very slick with DLNA. You can "flick" your content to the TV and it just works. Also, HDMI has ARC! Cons: Only con I can come up with is that the smart feature user interface is a bit dated. You are presented with a grid of nine boxes. Each box is an app of your choosing. Its really not that bad, but I have seen better interfaces. Other Thoughts: This TV has exceeded my expectations on many levels. I have years of experience building computers and researching the advancement of audio visual technology. This set is a tight package full of valuable features. Speakers are fine, but who cares. Thin design with a relatively thin bezel. The LED panel has a matte finish so reflections are minimal but I think contrast suffers a bit from it.
