Excellent TV
- Pros: Excellent picture, very crisp and clean. Bright picture, easily adjusted on all aspects, excellent for the size and price. I use it for my XBOX360 and it's never looked better, no lag from what I can see. Also use it for a monitor for my laptop, and it's amazing.
- Cons: No TOS/Digital in for sound, but most my sound travels via HDMI so that's alright. No DVI-in, but once again, HDMI from your computer is best, it'd be nice to have this feature.
- Other Thoughts: Speakers are loud, but when bassy songs come on, you can hear the internal casing shake.
Good Deal
- Pros: The picture looks great, high resolution, very dark blacks and bright colors. The signal graphic on the hud is helpful. Glow in the dark remote. The tv itself is a nice weight not heavy at all.
- Cons: The menus are slow, when switching channels it is so slow! The buttons on the remote are aranged in a strange way. The default settings on this tv are really bad.
- Other Thoughts: The image quality looks very poor until you take dynamic contrast ratio off. Also you have to enable pc sound through menus before it works.

Turn Dynamic contrast off
- Pros: Those having trouble with changes in brightness/contrast should try turning dynamic contrast and "Dynalight" off. It makes a world of difference when you TV stops flashing due to this subpar idea of Toshiba's.
- Cons: This TV is not made of cheese :(
Great TV
- Pros: Good picture quality

- Cons: The dynamic contrast changes can be a little distracting
- Other Thoughts: I like this TV a lot. I use it 100% as a computer monitor (hooked up via DVI->HDMI). Video games and movies/TV all look great on it -- HD stuff looks better but standard def stuff looks great as well.
Toshiba 40" LCD HDTV
- Pros: Beautiful color and contrast, frame is not bulky, great value.
- Cons: Sound is moderate, has frozen a few times, Rock Band/Guitar Hero lag.
- Other Thoughts: I have had this TV for about 6 weeks now. Aside from some minor issues, the TV has been working great. The TV has locked up, or frozen, a handful of times. Simply turning it off and on again will make it work again, but I have a slight fear for the future. Otherwise, color and contrast are great. The digital tuner is also very nice so I can pick up HD stations. I use my Xbox 360 on it, and I had to use the in-game lag control setup to play. I never had to do that to another TV or Projector before. I would recommend it to a friend.
