4 out of 5 eggsNice 720p HDTV

Pros: Good complement of inputs/hdtv tuner. LED back-lit for low power consumption.

Cons: PC input is over sharpened with edges around lines/text & there are no settings that I can find to control this (sharpness control is grayed out when set on the PC input).

Other Thoughts: Nice HDTV, but I would not use it on a regular basis as a computer monitor, unless your video card has settings for sharpness. Even then, I'm not sure if it would compensate for the effect.

5 out of 5 eggsNice TV

Pros: Looks great. Perfect size at a good price (got mine a little cheaper).

Cons: Sound. Even small external speakers will improve your experience. I knew this when I bought so I did not mark the TV down for it.

5 out of 5 eggsThe monitor swivels & tilts!

Pros: I did some side by side comparisons with several other 19" moniters at the store and what makes this monitor a cut above the rest is that the screen can swivel/tilt from the stand. Every other monitor (including a $230 samsung could not do this). Other than that i couldnt tell any difference between the monitors in this price range until you got down to the $110 dollars monitors and then screen quality viewing angle was much worse in that you have to look at them straight on.

Cons: The buttons for volume/channels are unuseable in a dark space because they dont light up and are perfectly flat words printed on the monitor frame, but it does come with a remote to use.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: I'm not a TV afficionado (I probably watch 5-10 hrs/week maximum), but for the amount that I watch, this one is excellent. Setup was a no-brainer. The tuning circuit must be pretty good: it found a whole bunch more cable channels than I'm supposed to be getting. Most of the additional channels do have lower-quality video, but a number of them are still very watchable (and a few are crystal clear).

Cons: The biggest negative (in my opinion) is the sound quality: it sounds like it's in a box. For me, this is not a big deal, but if you're looking for audiophile sound, this is not the TV you want.

Other Thoughts: I'm giving it 4 stars in the context of how I use it (fairly limited use and not a central part of my life), and with respect to whether I'd buy another one. For the way (and the amount of time) I use a TV, this appears to have been an excellent buy. But now the question is will it last--and I cannot attest to that yet.
