4 out of 5 eggsExcellent Buy for the Price!

Pros: All resolutions supported from standard to 1080i/p, 120Hz refresh rate, Side-Lit LED LCD, 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, every input imaginable eg; 75 Ohm (coaxial) RGB (computer connectivity) composite (red, yellow, white), component (red, blue, green along with red & white), SPIDF (audio out), separate audio out & in (red, white), 3 rear HDMI ports & 1 HDMI on the side, 3 USB side ports, 1/8" audio out jack, ethernet (wired & wireless) so streaming 1080p from the internet is no sweat (10 Mb fiber optic from my ISP) instant changeable video modes (standard, movie, game, vivid, football, golf, basketball, baseball, & custom modes) for different color/sharpness/contrast settings, & internet apps (Netflix, HULU Plus, VUDU, Pandora, Revision3, TWIT, Yahoo & Facebook to name a few but many more to choose from.

VIZIO is famous for the lit logo name on the front of the set. It's orange when powered off, and white when on. Not very bright and not distracting when watching TV. BIG plus!

Cons: Wireless ethernet can't be WPA2, as my home network *is*. Had to "dumb down" the wireless G from WPA2 64 bit password to WPA & a 14 bit password to connect. Finally ran a CAT5 cable to the set for better reliability compared to wireless. Other devices see 10 Mb transfer speed, but the VIZIO can't reliably handle that for long periods. Must be too much "noise" in the G band at my home. Only have 6 other AP's around me. None are very strong though. I have the Netgear WNDR 3700 router (802.11n simultaneous dual band) but the VIZIO won't receive the 5 GHz band, only 2.4 GHz band.

When power is pressed, it takes approximately 20 seconds to "boot up" and watch programming. Displays the VIZIO logo during that time. No audio, no picture until then.

Bluetooth remote/slide-out keyboard. The design is not a con, but the way you hold it to thumb type is. I don't have large hands, but thumb typing on this is difficult. Easier to type if you lay it down on a table & use your finger

Other Thoughts: I bought this VIZIO on January 30 2011, but not from Newegg. Wal*M had the same model in-store that Newegg had at that time. No shipping charge if I bring it home from there. Could not get free shipping, so I bought there. PLUS, got $200 off the listed price, because of a sale. Win-win!

I've heard a lot of good things about VIZIO while shopping for a new High-Def. I've seen them out in the real world, on some of the web podcasts sets that I watch, and my neighbor has a smaller VIZIO.

The "Razor LED" LCD *does* make a difference. Regular LCD TV's are nice to watch, but the side-lit LED LCD makes the contrast much better. Anyone that has an LCD will tell you that "black" or dark areas on the screen seem sort of grey (or very light black). Not in this case. Black is black! Beautiful color/contrast and the sound is pretty amazing considering the speakers are only 1" thin but run the length of the set from top to bottom.

Summary: This is an excellent buy for the price!

Pros: I bought this model after thanksgiving and really like the built in wireless connectivity and netflix apps. They work really well. It still needs an app to surf the web using Google. The picture is pretty good. The sound is good.

Cons: I returned the TV because it would turn off in the middle of watching it about once every two weeks. It then would require unplugging and replugging the power to reset it. When I returned it the salesman said that he had one other customer return one for the same reason. I'm going to purchase a Samsung, but will miss the great wireless connection on the Vizio.
