2 out of 5 eggsVizio E701 Refurb - Quality Control Issues

Pros: Nice Picture
Good Price

Cons: More glare than I read in review, more annoyng than on my glossy plasma
Scratches/gouge across back of set, no big deal
Refurb lacks quality control - 2 of the HDMI ports are flaky and PC input and RGB inputs wired in reverse

Other Thoughts: HDMI PROBLEMS
Sometimes on HDMI 1 I get picture with no audio.. I noticed the picture falling out on the HDMI 1 . I changed HDMI cables (used both with no problems for years) same problem. The picture will go black for less than a second, come back, black out and run good for a while then repeat. Sometimes a few flickers, sometimes a couple more. Then minutes with no problem. HDMI 2 seems to suffer the same problem. I switched to HDMI 3 and HDMI 4 and seem to have no problem on those ports.

went crazy when I hooked my old DVD player to the component jacks. Couldn't get the picture to come on, wasted about 20 minutes, verified the cables and DVD on another TV. Then I hooked up a PC and would try to play my rental DVD through the PC. It didn't work. Finally I noticed as I was setting the input back to satellite that the PC video.appeared when I set input to RGB. Brought in the DVD player again and voila, the DVD plays when I set the input to PC. No video dropout using DVD on RGB

My guess is that someone could reseat the wires on the comm board and the HDMI problem would go away. While they are at it they could reverse the wires for the PC and RGB jacks. My dilemma is whether to go through the expense and hassle of returning the set or live with just 2 HDMI ports.

Delivery was a bit of a problem. CEVA called me on a Thursday saying they wanted me to take delivery Friday. I talked with a customer service guy for 30 minutes. He insisted that the tracking number I gave him did not exist. I could put the number in the website and see that it did exist, but was not associated with my account. THey wanted me to call NewEgg to track down the package. I told them that after 30 minutes I had already wasted too much of my time. I figure they will call back again. Well I missed the call on SUnday and called them back on Monday. Started down the same path and after 15 minutes I was telling the guy to forget it. He patched me through to Caroline in the Seattle branch who has been with Ceva for 20 years. She found my real tracking number and setup my delivery. The delivery guys were great, Caroline was great. I am still getting calls from Ceva about the other tracking number though. Not sure that I want to ship a box back to Newegg and receive another box. Seems like I could get a better TV, but maybe a worse one and then where would I be?

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: Large screen with a great picture.

Cons: Unfortunately, this TV has only lasted for five months and the backlighting has died. Repair will cost more than replacement. I don't know if it was repaired previous to my buying it or if it was simply overstock as NewEgg does not disclose.

Other Thoughts: Spend the extra money and buy new with a full warranty.

1 out of 5 eggsWorst experience ever.

Pros: Big/cheap/nice picture (if it wasn't fatally flawed and riddled with imperfections such as weird blotches and hot pixels).

Cons: I've had two of these sets and both have had countless hot (white) pixels that will not go away, but only grow with time.

My second set not only had more hot pixels than the first, it had two giant oblong blackish/greyish blotches on the screen.

Other Thoughts: This has been a nightmare. I bought this TV extremely excited, got it, and it had tons of white pixels on the screen. Disheartened, I went through tons of back and forth with NewEgg and their very ill-mannered third party warranty people. NewEgg support was always great though, although it took quite a bit of back and forth to get things going. Anyways I finally got the giant TV returned and I got my second set today. I thought that it was finally time to relax and enjoy my new TV, WRONG. This set is worse than the last. This experience has cost me so much time and money it is insane. I feel like I should be getting paid to deal with this much hassle. I'm convinced that Vizio has absolutely no quality control whatsoever, an amateur could look at these screens and tell you they're not up to any sort of standard. They're obviously bunk screens. It's a shame, I really wanted to keep this TV, but back she goes. I'd highly advise against this set.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV - Great Service

Pros: Great TV - Great Price - even tho I had to return the first TV due to powering itself off after 10 minutes or so, Newegg replaced it with no hassle.

Cons: Shipping takes longer than 5 days - CEVA and local company aren't very responsive in the DFW metroplex.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is GREAT for customer care.

4 out of 5 eggsTV arrived broken.

Pros: It was dirt cheap considering it's a 70 inch TV
Has a lot of HDMI considering the price
It turned on and the colors looked pretty okay even with the shattered panel

Cons: It's really heavy at 102 pounds
TV arrived broken...Yeah, we blame UPS, you can clearly see the forklift damage of the box.

The packaging had plenty of padding on the corners / side, but none of the front side of the TV, where the panel was. It was hit on the center of the box, and the panel arrived shattered.

Extremely petty, but the batteries for the remote weren't included

Other Thoughts: The box kind of fell apart as we took out the TV due to the weight. I would advise giving some time for this, as there is a high chance this TV will be damaged by shipping considering the weight / size.

5 out of 5 eggsTrue Review

Pros: -Price
-Technology (at that price)
-Clarity of Image
-Out of the box color accuracy
-Smart (internet) user interface
-4 Hdmi's
-Screen Size
-CEC technology (allows the TV's remote to control other devices connected to the TV. I use the included Vizio remote to control my PS4)
-Image quality
-Processing speed & responsiveness

Cons: -Heavy (about 90 punds)
-I cant really come up with any other cons at this price

Other Thoughts: For the price I paid ($1003.67 shipped to my door) you cant really beat the value this unit provides.

The pros of the unit, mentioned above, far out weigh any cons I could come up with.

I feel that the image quality, the sharpness, the color accuracy are much greater on this unit compared to my older insignia 55 that I replaced it with.

Overall the value of this unit is incredible I highly recommend to all.

CEVA shipping (the courier Newegg chooses to ship larger units) is however horrible, they have proven to be incompetent once again. It took them nearly 6 days to transport this television less than 150 miles. To put this in perspective UPS delivers packages from Newegg (dispatched from the Memphis warehouse) ONE day to deliver the packages.

I wish Newegg didn't use this courier but this does not diminish the deal I got on the TV or the TV itself in my opinion.

Hope this helps!

3 out of 5 eggs70" VIZIO E-series smart tv

Pros: Razor thin and a smart tv.

Cons: Price a little bit high for an average smart tv not even brand new.$950-1000 should fall in for this tv price range for a refurbish LED smart tv big screen.

Other Thoughts: Can get this price for a better smart tv,like refurbish for a Samsung big screen tv.

4 out of 5 eggsHonest Review

Pros: -Like New
-Fast Delivery
-Beautiful Screen
-Thin and light Weight
-Great Price

Cons: -Speaker in the back of Tv

Other Thoughts: This is going to be my dead Honest Review about this tv.
I Ordered Jan.20th got an email the same day with trackign which updated the next day saying it would arrive on the 28th. I get a call on the 23rd saying they are ready to deliver the TV the next day between 11-3. of course i said yes i will be availible. The Delivery truck came around 11:30am.

The Tv didnt arrive in the Maufators box, but in a thicker, mmore cushioned sturdy one (which was a bonus in my opinion. I currrently have a 4K Monitor and its very high end so my standard was very high when recieving this tv. With that in mind i was still very impressed! I mostly play Xbox One online and the picture is Nice, Vivid, bright, and spot on. I had ONE BIG PROBLEM at first was the response rate of the TV was HORRIBLE. it was at least 1 full second of lag between pressing a button and the tv responding, HOWEVER simplly going to the settings and selecting "Game Mode" Instantly corrected the issue and the response time is now smooth as butter.

Now as for the sound which is the reson i didnt give this tv 5 stars. My BIGGEST Gripe is the Speaker is LITERALLY on the back of the Tv so if its going to be against a wall its ALWAYS going to sound like your going through a tunnel. but considering sound bars are cheap nowadays its not a huge issue.

all in all its a great tv. Its worth the price, great shipping speed, and overall beautiful picture!
