2 out of 5 eggs...as to color blind

Pros: all but tint is good = screen is RED

Cons: Tint is non-functional. No matter the input, It will not activate

Other Thoughts: I tried Newegg and Seiki.
I gave up after being on hold for 45min on both lines. I'll try again in the morning.

What I would like to know is if the tint control ACTUALLY works on ANY Seiki set?

2 out of 5 eggsOk if you are color blind

Pros: Bright screen. Sound is OK for a computer monitor.

Cons: Tint does not work = screen is very RED.

I sent the first one back because the TINT could not be adjusted. This one has the same problem. This one is about to go back.

Other Thoughts: Why have a Tint control when it is non-functional?

4 out of 5 eggsGreat quality TV

Pros: This TV is very impressive. Great quality, very good size. Great price for the size/quality.

Cons: The settings/system menu is a little confusing. And to get the best quality it takes a bit of configuring. Not an "Out of the box" kinda TV

Other Thoughts: Would not recommend for people w/o technical experience.

1 out of 5 eggsDon't Buy

Pros: none

Cons: Worked for under 5 min, then display goes black. Sound still works but no display.

Other Thoughts: Newegg RMA process was great, no trouble with return at all. Newegg even provided free return shipping label.

2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: Adequate image quality. Nice selection of inputs. Low cost.

Cons: I was extremely disappointed to discover there is no QAM Tuner. I did not think to check for it before I made the purchase. One would think a QAM Tuner is standard in all modern televisions. Without the QAM Tuner, I can not tune in digital stations. Also, for some reason it takes about 3 seconds to change channels. This is not the TV for the channel surfer unless you use an external tuner! One more downfall is the only audio outputs are headphones and coaxial digital. It would be nice to have standard composite audio outputs.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget TV

Pros: -Great color reproduction (once you fine tune the settings)
-Light Weight
-Easy to setup (You only need a Philips screw driver)
-Very Slim (Compared to my previous LCD TV)
-Good selection of input/output options
=>Has 3.5mm audio out jack (Read other thoughts)
=> Several HDMI outputs for your Blu-ray, console(s) HTPC and/or Media Box.

Cons: -Terrible Sound: To be expected at this price point, I did not deduct any points for this.

-Remote not responsive: Deducted an egg for this.

Other Thoughts: Overall a great TV for the price - I got this for $420CDN after tax before a whopping $70 Mail-In Rebate.

Got this solely to pair with my HTPC. I gave this a 4/5 because of the great overall quality. The main reason I deducted a egg was because of the unresponsive remote. The terrible sound quality was to be expected considering it's price point (did not lose points because of this).

**Considering how economical the TV is, I highly recommend getting some decent $20-30 Speakers for this TV. I'm no audiophile but the sound quality difference is night and day.

4 out of 5 eggsMy first HD TV

Pros: Price, picture quality, easy setup. I'll make my review brief as I would just be repeating what everyone else has said. Basically, great picture for the price but lousy speakers. So factor some speakers of your choice into the cost. I just fired this thing up using HDMI directly from my DVR. I also have some old stuff like a DVD recorder and a VCR daisy chained to my old CRT. I don't see a way of connecting that old stuff. I'm going to take an egg off just for the speakers and lack of input ports, which I knew it didn't have based on other reviews.

Cons: Speakers sound bad. No RCA composite out to stereo without using a digital to analog converter box. I just bought computer speakers instead.

Other Thoughts: I bought this based on all the great reviews and I am not disappointed. Based on the reviews of the lousy speakers I also bought a simple set of fairly good quality 2.1 computer speakers at the same time, so factor that into the price. Believe it or not, this is my first HDTV. I really liked my old CRT because of the fluid motion. I have seen HDTVs on display in the stores where fast action just looked jerky and pixelated. My tech knowledge of these is not that great, although I am a computer support technician by trade, oddly enough.

4 out of 5 eggsA Good No-Frills TV

Pros: Great picture. Nice size for the money.

Cons: It only has one combined component/composite AV input. The rest are all HDMI, which presented a problem for connecting my older DVD player and Nintendo Wii at the same time. The speakers are a little wimpy too.

Other Thoughts: I was able to overcome the issue of only having one component input by getting a component switch box. Given the price, it was still a good deal. Also, it has HDMI ports a'plenty, so if all of your equipment is relatively modern, this shouldn't be a problem for you. I don't watch a great deal of TV, so when my old one bit the dust, I didn't need anything too advanced to replace it. This would be fine for a guest room, kids playroom, or other such uses where you don't need anything too fancy and don't want to sink a lot of money into it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat TV for the Price

Pros: Price, plenty of connections, no dead pixels on mine. Picture looks great after adjustment. The build quality is better than I expected.

Cons: None so far, I did not expect a lot of bells and whistles for the price.

Other Thoughts: Picture looked very washed out right out of the box but after tinkering with settings for about 10 minute I was very pleased.
