Pros: This board is getting unfair reviews.
People are rating it poorly because they do not understand the technology.
This is an AM3 Motherboard.

Better price than core i7 motherboards.
ATI 790gx is the best onboard graphics chipset you can buy right now IMO.

Other Thoughts: The reason this mobo does not work with AMD 940 is
because that CPU does not have a ddr3 memory controller. The 940 is an AM2 CPU. AM3 CPUs have a DUAL CHANNEL DDR3 controller meaning it uses a pair instead of 3 memory modules like core i7.
You cannot use an AM2 CPU on this board because it lacks a DDR3 controller. AM3 CPUs DO have a DDR2 memory controller AND a DDR3 memory controller. So you can use them with some DDR2 AM2+ motherboards.

Pros: This is a good board. People, you don't seem to understand what AMD said. A.) AM3 boards don't support AM2+ processors, BUT AM2+ boards support AM3 processors. B.) AMD processors only support dual channel DDR3, not triple like the i7: no known performance benefit has been shown for triple channel.
Its a good board, its solid, and will do what you want if you have an AM3 and DDR3.

Cons: Like all other motherboards the BIOS is about as intuitive as programming a VCR.

Other Thoughts: BIOS revisions will help, Crossfire is only 8x, its not too fancy, not too low end, its a workhorse.

Pros: The board was sleek, no need to mess with BIOS, and brought some cool software. The onboard video card is a plus. Overall, great board for the price and it was a breeze putting together my first computer. Thanks ASUS!

Cons: I've had this MoBo for about 2 months now and there are no cons so far.

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this board but please realize that this is an AM3 Board and it only takes AM3 Processor and DDR3 Ram.

Pros: -Stable.
-Solid.
-Has several utilities such as Quiet Operation, and Overcloking tool.
-Spacious.
-Powerful on-board sound and video cards (good thing to have in case your main video card dies from overclocking!)

Cons: -In my case, the board is installed in such a way that the power supply sits right below the sound card. Above the sound card are two video cards that are parallel. So, this configuration is like a step ladder that that kind of traps heat.
It would be better if the whole mother board would be lying on the floor - then the heat would escape freely. But that's not the "case".

Other Thoughts: I wonder when they will make motherboards for specific cases.
