1 out of 5 eggsSent Me different Products

Pros: Affordable, purchased 3 years ago. Clocked well until I ordered more and now its a different RAM...

Cons: I ordered more of the exact RAM or so I thought. Upon installation and setup in the BIOS i loaded CPUZ and its telling me the RAM is different PC10700 and PC312800H. Of course the 12800 is giving me the desired readings but the other is not. I am unsure if i am sacrificing performance here due to not having matching RAM anymore. I used to have no issue clocking my RAM to 1600mhz howver now it will not allow. Any thoughts? i want to return the product and get matching products.

Other Thoughts: I would like a solution from anyone? Perhaps has something to do with intel XMP stamped on the new ram sticks?

5 out of 5 eggsRock-Solid

Pros: XMP with my i5-3570k and compatible mobo puts it at 1600 with no issues. Had it across multiple boards after I upgraded from an i7-860, and kept it because it was so good.

Cons: Bought it when it was twice the price, back when DDR3 was new.

5 out of 5 eggsLooks awesome

Pros: The two ram chips function with no issue and are completely worth the cost.

Cons: (None so far)

Other Thoughts: The only reason they are rated above average is because they look awesome.

5 out of 5 eggs2 years still going

Pros: bought only 2 sticks of Em when I built my system they have been running great!. I'm planning on getting 2 more due to the fact of trying to run windows 7 and play high end games is getting kinda hard to do on 4gb of Ram

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Return

Pros: Had a stick go bad after 3 years. Rare but it happens. Memtest confirmed errors. Did the RMA at the GSkill web site and in a week and a half I had two brand new sticks sitting in my mail box in spite of the fact that it had to from between Michigan and California. I'm impressed.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I will buy GSkill again

5 out of 5 eggsIt works

Pros: Works like it's supposed to, Looks Nice! (although you can't see them once the computer is put back together)

Cons: Maybe more a con of my setup than the memory, but these wouldn't fit in the DIMM slots closest to CPU with my aftermarket CPU Cooler. The 'jaws' on the heat spreader are too tall. Luckily I was able to put them in the 2nd bank, and leave the first bank empty. Not sure if they would have fit with the Stock AMD cooler in.

Also, my machine runs them at 1366 instead of 1600, although I didn't try to tinker with it, to see if I could force timings. I may do that in the future and update the review.

Neither of these are worthy of dropping an egg IMO because they are probably related more to my particular build, not the RAM itself.

Other Thoughts: Bought these to replace defective memory I originally built the system with. I kept getting BSOD's but replaced the defective RAM with these, and not the computer is completely stable. That's all I needed to give these 5 eggs. First G.Skill purchase, would definitely buy again.

5 out of 5 eggsGkill

Pros: Runs great, stable a 1600 speeds. Gskill has always been in all my builds and I have been happy with them.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: If your an OC guy don't bother trying to over clock this ram it just won't go past 1600 speeds. Not worth docing an egg as it runs perfectly at its advertised speeds. I put this in my sons PC, he's happy so I cant complain. I run Gskill sniper in my PC and that one OC's really well.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks with already used RAM

Pros: I've dealt with BSOD's tons of times, but to my surprise I never got a single one after having installed this ram on my computer which already had 2 sticks of these installed from late 2009.
I know that it's not recommended, but you can easily just buy two separate ones of these for 4x2 gigs if the price is better... They work perfectly fine together...

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: 4.5 years on my old build and still running smooth!

This RAM is a classic... hands down.
