Pros:
Simply amazing. I spent a lot of time reading reviews in an attempt to find headphones to replace my iPod ear buds, and to help cancel the noise of my co-workers in our office of cubicles. All reviews pointed me in this direction.
VERY clear, crisp, and accurate sound. Does an incredible job of canceling out outside noise, and being able to hear JUST my music has made me feel like I'm listening to songs I've heard for years for the first time. And yes, you will actually hear things you never knew were in the songs you've heard thousands of times.
The bass seems to resonate faster, so it's more of a "BOOM" than a "BOOOOOOOOOM" that I think many have become accustomed to. I love it. It sounds more "true".

Cons:
Like some others here, I had a little trouble getting the fitment of the eartips right. A little wiggling and watching the Etymotic website's instructions made me feel comfortable with how far into the ear the eartips sit.
Once you find that "sweet spot" though, you can CLEARLY hear the difference in sound.
Overall Review:
Having just moved into a "cubicle" area full of chatty co-workers, my lackluster iPod earbuds weren't cutting it anymore.
These headphones allow me to relax and concentrate distraction free be it reading a book, working, or just kicking back.
I wish I would have made this purchase months ago.
