Pros:
Very useful for presentations and multimedia entertainment, as well as, cost-effective, in regards to buying another monitor.
Cons:
The cable could be longer; one foot, would be nice. Hopefully the display, sleep mode "glitch" will be worked out, in the next production. I'm not sure if the Apple branded cable does the same thing, because I don't have one to compare it to, unfortunately. Maybe another Mac user will make note of this, in the review section.
Overall Review:
I am posting this review to help out the cat who wrote the previous review, and, hopefully, help others who are experiencing the same problem. I, too, have a MacBook and noticed the "glitch" that the cable has when going into sleep mode and turning off the display. But, you DO NOT have to unplug the cable, or restart your MacBook to alleviate the problem. If you simply, press the space bar, as I did, the screen display will reappear, or likewise, you can also adjust the sleep mode timeout, to a higher interval setting. While this may not be feasible for battery preservation, it is convenient, for when your MacBook is connected to a power source. I enjoy using this cable for My Poetry seminars and using Front Row, which turns my MacBook into a giant iPod, not to mention the cost-effectiveness of having to buy another monitor, from Apple. Nevertheless, I am giving it a 4 Egg rating, because of the "glitch", which is annoying, at first, but can be rectified, as stated, above.
