This review is from: APEX Vortex 3620 SGCC / ABS ATX Mid Tower Gaming Computer Case
Pros:
Easy to install hardware, tool-less system works well. Blue light front fan looks cool, although the blue system light is really bright. Two fans provided, with 3-pin to 4-pin adapters included which was nice because my MOBO only had one 3-pin connection.
Cons:
The front placeholder panels for 5.25" drives are ridiculously loose. Unlike other cases that keep the panels firmly in place when the bays are not in use, the slightest pressure or bump causes the panels to fall out. It's annoying because the case looks pretty nice otherwise.
Documentation is basically non-existent. I still have no idea how to remove the front fascia as there are no instructions in the "manual." Markings for mounting the motherboard didn't seem to make any sense, but I didn't really need them anyway. An inexperienced system builder might be confused by them, along with nothing being said about them in the documentation.
Rear fan is noisy.
Case itself seems a little thin, but not to the point of being flimsy. I would've liked it a little thicker, but it's not like I'm worried of it falling apart either.
Overall Review:
The case looks better in person than in the pictures, but the noisy fan and the loose front panels knocked down what is a 4-egg case to a 3-egg. It's cheap and it gets the job done, but I don't expect to buy another Apex case in the future.
