This review is from: GARMIN 4.3" Portable GPS Navigator Bundled with nüMaps Lifetime
Pros:
Google map directions download directly to the unit. No more paper all over the front seat of the car. Very sweet. Gives you advance notice of turns and the gps is accurate.
This unit includes a 90 dollar subscription to the map service to keep unit up to date. Its a secret code in the box.
The Micro SD slot allows you to download an entire topology map to the unit and you can switch between street maps or topology (ground maps) for hiking, camping or exploring. There are maps for all over the world!
Cons:
I would like to be able to export gps map pictures from google into this unit but have not been able figure out a way to do it. It supports viewing pictures but not as a map.
Battery is not replaceable but when I get to that time I will figure a way. Would be nice though if companies included a door but I will work around the problem.
Overall Review:
This is my first GPS. First time I used it to go to an unknown location it tells me to exit and turn right and names street which had no sign. But the gps map clearly showed it to be the correct street. so I turned and then finally figured out I was where I should be. My big problem with google maps is after I get where I am going I cannot get back on the fly cause you have to reverse all the instructions while trying to drive. Now you just click go to home and it does the rest. No more messing around. Awesome!
