This review is from: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Pros:
6 x SATA 6Gb/s
Maximum Memory Supported 32GB = 4 Slots = 8GB Per Slot.
10 x USB 2.0
Full ATX
Positioning of the Sata Ports is very nice.
UEFI BIOS Is amazing! I love how you can use your mouse and keyboard. boot drive priority is very nice.. I installed 1 SSD 240gb and 3 HDD. 1 - 1TB, 2 - 250GB all 7200rpm. I had to use that alot getting all of my drives in order.
The boards overall design is extremely durable and sturdy. The back I/O shield has a really nice cushioned back piece that fits really well around the outputs.
Also the fact that this board is backwards compatible with AM3. Utilize my 1100t Thuban. I will be upgrading soon to try out the FX series because of the AM3+ Chipset.
Fit perfect in my NZXT Phantom full tower.
Didn't need to flash my bio's or anything my SSD Worked right away and ACHI was already enabled which was cool.
Cons:
Honestly. This is board is well designed and everything that I have seen on it so far has been well built. And it booted right away. It had my ram clocked at 1333mhz... But with UEFI that was to easy of a fix and not a con in my eyes considering alot of boards do that anyways in my experience, especially with 16gb of ram.
Overall Review:
buy it!
