This review is from: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros:
Great board, lots of features, good utilities.
Cons:
There was a known problem with BIOS version F8 where the motherboard would get stuck in a boot loop. As recommended, I upgraded the BIOS to version F9 and that problem was fixed.
However, the other problem that has not gone away is the inability for the motherboard to completely shut down. After a few seconds of being powered off, the motherboard restarts. Numerous Windows installs and Linux installs, as well as trying several different cases, disconnecting peripherals, and turning off all BIOS wake events yield the same results. I can confirm there are no electrical shorts on my end that would cause it to restart.
Sad. I've already started the RMA process and will no longer go with GIGABYTE mobos. This model in particular has had way too many issues.
