Pros:
Wow, this drive is fast. The streaming reads are incredible and 64mb of cache really shows the difference. I have my drive backed with 64 gb of SSD cache via Intel SRT and the performance is freaking incredible, there's no drop off from the SSD to the drive even when streaming enormous video files. The VR is the fastest mechanical drive in existence, and until large SSDs come down in price an entirely reasonable option for a speedy computer.
Cons:
Expensive. Drive does get hot so make sure you have good ventilation over the heatsink. I wouldn't bother removing the heatsink to mount it as a 2.5" drive- it's there for a reason.
