This review is from: Toshiba 40" 1080p 60Hz LCD HDTV
Pros:
1 year constant use no issues
2 HDMI inputs (I can use HDMI hub if I need more)
40 inch 1080p @ $10 an inch
Rated 8ms or less (Average LCD Monitor Speed)
Cons:
Box had another label on it, like it was supposed to have been shipped to some Doctor's office or similar business.
Box had a few dents, and tape was nearly opened fully. Probably from repeated shipments/dragging along floor by warehouse staff.
I was about to refuse shipment, but after inspection all parts where there, no added tape on box, and no physical damage to the TV. So I decided to keep it.
I assume it must of been a refusal of delivery from a previous order, or a canceled order.
As far as non Newegg related Cons, I have none.
I heard horror stories about this product while doing research and I was scared. Glad I did not have similar issues. So a con could be it did not live up to those expectations??? Ha ha ha.
Newegg does not have anymore in stock.
Overall Review:
I have not tried to use the TV directly without a Cable Converter Box, it might eliminate some issues I have.
I have also not used the VGA, Component, Digital Out, or other inputs. Only the two HDMI ports.
Built in audio is not loud (what do you expect from hidden built-in speakers on a flat screen TV). 7W + 7W
Actually pretty loud and good for only being 7 watt speakers I think.
Also my version was a 40FT2U1 (Revision 1 I assume)
No issues with audio, or video. Used every day, no less than 6-8 hours daily if not more.
Actually surprised to find such a good TV from Toshiba, I had to make sure to write a review.
