This review is from: LG 23ET83V-W Silver 23" IPS-Panel 10-point Touchscreen Monitor 250 cd/m2 10000000:1
Pros:
It is big. It is beautiful. It is responsive. You can use it as a secondary monitor off a laptop and have that mega-space on the clean desktop all to yourself. Running off a HP Windows 8 laptop. Very fast. Excellent graphics. The IPS makes it stunning. Well worth the bucks. For those of use who like more desktop rather than less - you have to get one of these!
I got this for a client of mine who is not very tech savvy, who wanted a touchscreen attached to a laptop that isn't and wanted the bigger screen for "home base".
She loves it. Has not had a bit of trouble figuring out how to use it. Took her a couple minutes to get the hang of using it between the laptop and monitor.
While practically, you probably will not have all ten fingers on the screen at the same time, you CAN do that with this monitor. I can imagine finger painting would be a blast with this touchscreen. But for the practical touch and move actions - this touchscreen rocks!
Cons:
It's not a 40 inch. Price? I'm sure it will get less expensive over time, but do you want to wait that long? I'm surprised more of these are not out there.
Overall Review:
You do NOT have to have a touchscreen computer in order to use this device. When you install it, the ability to use it will come to life. You DO need Windows 7 or Windows 8 OS (sorry, I can't speak to MAC user requirements).
