Works great but only in 2.4GHz mode 06/21/2013
This review is from: D-Link Xtreme-N Duo Wireless Bridge/Access Point (DAP-1522) Wireless N300, Dual-Band, Fast Ethernet
Pros:
I've had two of these for several years and I haven't had any stability trouble with either one using 2.4GHz. I'm buying a third one. I use them as an external antenna when a wireless card can't pick up a strong or steady signal. Not their intended purpose but they work.
Cons:
5.0GHz is almost worthless. 60% signal when less than ten feet away with no abstractions. I'm using this with a D-Link Xtreme-N router. Signal almost zero when traveling through one wall. 2.4GHz is strong. 5.0 signal not steady enough to stream anything. 2.4 streams well.
Overall Review:
I only use 2.4GHz because of the pitiful 5.0 signal. Minis one egg.
