Inexpensive and gets the job done 10/04/2013
This review is from: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500 - Pentium Wolfdale Dual-Core 2.93 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80571E6500
Pros:
I have used this CPU for over 3 years now with no issues.
With a midrange graphics card (550 TI for me) it was able to run Crysis (yes, the original) at 1920x1200 with everything maxed except for Anti-Aliasing.
I have also had no issues running CAD software such as AutoDesk Inventor on the system.
Cons:
This processor will run whatever is in the main window (active window) without a problem, but whatever is not the main window drops in performance. For example when I have a youtube window off to the side, but its not the active window it drops to about a frame-per-second.
I am not taking an egg off for this as the audio was fine and this was a minor inconvenience, and for the price and age of the CPU it is understandable.
Overall Review:
An aging CPU that still has what it takes to get the job done!
