Plays blu-ray disc great, but, lots of issues 12/22/2013
This review is from: LG Wi-Fi 3D Blu-ray Disc Player – BP730
Pros:
Plays retail Blu-ray and dvd disc great. I like some of the premium service apps, but a lot of them are useless.
Cons:
Freezes and locks up all the time, I have to unplug the ac plug to reset the player. Almost all the time after playing any movie format I can't eject the disc, again, I have to unplug the ac plug to reset the player to eject the disc. The Wi-Fi Built In function worked for about one week and now is useless and dead. I'm stuck using the wired (Cat5e) feature only. The LG Magic Remote is flaky and works when it wants to, most of the basic buttons are gone plus, the remote does not have a eject button to eject the disc from the player...Why? all other Blu-ray players I've owned had a eject button on the remote. The 3D function does not work, tried several 3D retail movies none of them play, all I get is an error.
Overall Review:
all in all the player is fine playing retail movies, but, for the wireless Wi-Fi is dead and useless, the player freezes and locks up after playing any retail movie media. I may just go back to what I had disconnect this player and reconnect the old Blu-ray player I've had. At least my old Blu-ray player didn't freeze up and has a eject button on the players remote. For the 3D feature, I've followed the instructions to the letter to try to make that work, no go. My old Blu-ray player has a 3D feature which played 3D Blu-ray's fine.
