- Extreme anti-ghosting
- Features Steel Series media controls
- Gold plated mechanical switches
- Durable metal inner chassis
Don't buy direct from SteelSeries 01/13/2014
This review is from: SteelSeries 64225 6Gv2 Keyboard
Pros:
- Good action.
- Mostly standard key layout.
- Tactile.
Cons:
- Keys a bit stiff.
- Right shift is tiny and the | key is right next to it. This creates a lot of typos if you use the right shift AT ALL.
- Very basic mechanical keyboard.
- SteelSeries support is really slow and bad at getting back to you.
Overall Review:
I bought This keyboard from SteelSeries directly since they had a sale around Christmas. The keyboard shipped the following week (whatever, Christmas time, but they said orders are processed on the 27th). First, I had to contact support to get my order confirmation and e-mail, as well as my tracking number. Once I got my keyboard, however, I noticed the weird right shift. Not terrible but annoying. Except when you're trying to type. There's no getting used to it either, it's just a really strange layout to take if you're going mostly standard.
The keyboard itself has really stiff keys, for some reason, even for Black switches.
I asked for an RMA, and after giving them my information, I have heard nothing from their support about this for a week. I'm probably not getting one of their products again.
