Overall Review:
I don't normally do this, but I want to clarify something that is confusing based on the wildly different reviews on this item. The reviewer regarding the speakers and 'non-existant', this is not that much of an exaggeration. It is very very low in volume. You will need headphones unless you are by yourself in a quiet room. That said, I am the 'guy' wishing the person with the iPad in the doctors office would turn down the volume on the iPad or get headphones. If you too are 'that guy', well these may be fine.
The one thing I do disagree with is skipping this item for an iPad. If you can afford an iPad, by all means get it. I don't feel this is a realistic competitor to an iPad. The iPad is super high quality, performs better, and you pay an arm and a leg for that. The Primo is definitely second tier, but still decently high quality. I have no performance issues at all with mine. It has done everything I asked and more.
Regarding the smudges, work has replaced my deceased iPad with a new one, and I don’t see any difference at all in the smudges. They both are bad, and I even use a stylus.
Is short, if you can afford an iPad, you won’t find a good competitor so buy it. If you don’t need the Cadillac, android tablets are still excellent and for the value, I wouldn’t skip this one. At the current discount, its hard to pass up.
