Awesome Board

MSI 870A-G54 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
MSI 870A-G54 AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Board will post every day when I boot up my machine. All features work well. Even through plenty of hardware changes (new heatsink, RAM, video card), the board operates perfectly. Performed a BIOS flash recently in preparation for a new CPU, and although the settings reverted to stock (expected), the process went without a hitch.

Cons: None really. The board works well. Others must have just received a bad board because this product is nearly flawless.

DOA

SAMSUNG 16GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model MB-SSAGA/US
SAMSUNG 16GB Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Flash Card Model MB-SSAGA/US

Pros: None.

Cons: Packaging was in pretty bad shape. Got nothing when I plugged it in. DOA.

Overall Review: Paid $8 for it so no use in trying to RMA it. Guess I"m just out 8 bucks.

Follow Up - RMA Recieved

OCZ Vertex Plus 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTXPL60G
OCZ Vertex Plus 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTXPL60G

Pros: Recieved my RMA replacement from OCA and it works wonderfully. Much faster than my 7200 RPM Seagate. Worlds of difference.

Cons: Could be larger but for $50, you can't really go wrong.

Overall Review: My first one died after a week. However, OCZ was faithful to the manufacturer warrenty.

Worked well... While it lasted

OCZ Vertex Plus 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTXPL60G
OCZ Vertex Plus 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-1VTXPL60G

Pros: While it was running the drive worked well. Fast and whisper quiet. Makes a world of difference over my previous 7200 rpm hard disk.

Cons: Began to fail 5 days after I bought it. Received a few consistency checks (chkdsk) from Windows 7. Hoped for the best and ignored the issue, as Windows seemed to boot successfully. However, after a 3rd disk check, Windows no longer booted and I could no longer copy to/from the drive w/o IO errors. Fortunately, after the first Consistency check I moved all of my important data off of the drive.

Overall Review: I am currently going through OCZ for the RMA process, since I removed the UPC for a rebate form. Customer Service seems helpful enough, although the RMA process is much faster if you call OCZ after submitting an support ticket. If the replacement drive is better than I will change my rating.

Good for the Price

LOGISYS Computer CS301BK Black Solid 6.0mm SECC metal ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 480W Power Supply
LOGISYS Computer CS301BK Black Solid 6.0mm SECC metal ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 480W Power Supply

Pros: Case is good for what I payed for it. Caused no shorts to any of the electrical components. Didn't test the power supply, I'm smart enough not to trust such a low end PSU to my hardware. Put in a known good PSU and works like a charm.

Cons: One of the MoBo mounting holes was improperly seated. Took a lot of force to secure a screw into it. I'm lucky that I didn't scrape the board in the process. Front panel isn't HD, so I had to configure the front panel for AC '97. On a case this cheap, I wasn't surprised.

Overall Review: If you need a cheap case for an inexpensive build, this is it. I suppose I was fortunate to receive a good one (one that didn't have broken parts). From the other reviews, it looks as though others weren't so fortunate. But hey, buying online is always a risk.

Non-EPS

Sunbeam PSU-H680-REV-US-BL 680 W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply
Sunbeam PSU-H680-REV-US-BL 680 W ATX 12V 2.0 Power Supply

Pros: Looked promising. Blue fan was kind of cool and matched my setup.

Cons: Non-EPS. Meaning that it only had a 4-pin axillary instead of the 8-pin EPS connector I needed. In theory it could have worked either way, but it didn't for me. System would power on for a little while before I started having power issues.

Overall Review: Should've payed closer attention to the connectors before I bought it. Not necessarily a bad PSU, but as with all cheap PSUs; you won't get as much amperage as a more expensive PSU. The 600 Watt Thermaltake I bought to power my system worked just fine, while this one just didn't have the guts. For lower end systems, this should work fine; but with anything high end: you get what you pay for.

Don't buy from them unless you want to waste your time.

Bought some RAM. Got charged 4 business days after ordering (ordered Sunday, got charged Thrusday). Got a tracking number that said that the shipping label was created. Waited almost two weeks for the package. Emailed the seller three different times. Absolutely no response. Contacted NewEgg and had my money back two days later. Don't buy from this seller unless you want to wait two weeks for nothing. Love NewEgg tho!
