Great Bargain Card
Pros: Very Solid Bargain 260 Core It only has 192 proccesor cores instead of 216 ... but the difference between the two is so insignificant you will never notice. Its a 3-4% gain on average with the 216 which goes to about 4-5 FPS, at the rate this card performs that will not be noticeable. Even if you are running at extremely high-resolutions with the highest possible quality the gains from the 216 wouldn't make the difference between a playable and unplayable game. The reviewers stating this card is a rip-off have no idea what they are talking about. Runs everything I have thrown at it without a hitch Great upgrade from a 7900GTX 512mb. 2 Stickers!
Cons: Size ... this card is massive Water Cooling attachments are insanely expensive 120+ and only few manufacturers offer it.
Overall Review: Comes over-clocked 14 MHz ... 590 vs 576 not a notable difference at all. But if you are over-clocking this card anyway it doesn't matter, I don't see why people are complaining about this. Great way to save a few bucks on a build if your on a tight-budget.
Good mouse but needs some work
Pros: Very lightweight and comfortable feel, adjustable DPI and affordable price with nice button layout. Defiantly a great mouse in the price range it stands.
Cons: It is lightweight and it feels very cheap, it is very very very picky about the surface its on, I have a steelseries mousepad that has worked with every mouse I've ever owned ranging from a cheap dollar brand to g5, g9's and this mouse does not like the surface at all or any other I've tried for that matter. Not a very good mouse for precision since it tends to jerk a few inches in any direction fairly often even when at 800 DPI, although this may be an issue with the inadequate surfaces or laser precision or maybe i need to RMA this one?
Overall Review: No mouse wheel left and right movements ( nickpicking :D ) This needs to have some weight added, and a few refinements to the laser and this could be a great mouse, as of now it still has its flaws. I am a being a little biased since I previously used a g5 for over 6 years and I'm dropping 2 eggs because of the challenge of getting this to work perfectly which included adjusting settings constantly and finding the right surface, but for the price tag its defiantly worth the purchase.
No issues
Pros: Sending in an MSI SLI Plus for return and bought this to replace it. Got this board at another merchant before sending the MSI for return, had no problems with startup and was plug and play for the most part.
Cons: Has a lot of lights that are bright on the board itself... hopefully they can be shutoff in the bios ... CPU fan locations are directly in the middle of the board being OCD and not wanting any wires floating around the board makes it challenging ...
Overall Review: Seems to be a great board as all the other gigabyte boards I've bought have been ... Replaced a MSI X99 SLI Plus with this and not disappointment. Gonna install 10.10 next ...
Bad RAM slots.
Pros: Color is nice and board layout works for what I needed. Basic X99 board that gets the job done and has overclocking features.
Cons: Only has 2 onboard USB 2.0 slots. Ram Slot 3 is bad and wont boot when a ram stick is inserted so running quad-channel is not possible. Have 8 sticks of memory and NONE of them worked when in slot 3. Ram is also hard to put in place and doesn't snap in very easily.
Overall Review: Having spent almost 2k on a computer build you would expect things to simply just work without problems ... but it seems that quite a few motherboards are having problems with this chipset regardless of the manufacturer. Most likely returning this and getting a Gigabyte board if I can't get the RAM slot working since they are reportedly easier to setup with a hackintosh anyway.
Pros: HUGE!! Big enough to use as a toodler's yoga mat ... this is an excellent desk mat ... YES it is that big! Comfortably fits my keyboard and mouse with have plenty of room to spare... Provides excellent tracking and movement for both my magic mouse and logitech gaming mouse... Highly recommend if you are looking for a big mousepad.
Cons: None ... Love this thing
Keyboard for real programmers
Pros: Used this to replace the hipster mac keyboard on a new iMac ... layout is identical to that of the T series laptops (400) ... I personally own a T60 so I use this at work the T60 at home though the T60 is more sturdy this is still awesome. If you are like me ... married to the Thinkpad keyboard for life ... this will defiantly fit the bill though I was a little worried about getting this due to some of the comments but I think it works flawlessly.
Cons: It's not as sturdy as the laptop keyboards ... keys have a sort of cheap "clicky" sound but it defiantly works and is well worth the money.
Overall Review: It has a space underneath for hiding the extra cord length which you cant really see in the photos ... In OSX the option+shift+arrow(left|right) doesn't work right ( at all ) ... kinda sucks but you get used to it after a while especially if you simply can't work without this keyboard.
