Great monitor

QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 Matte 27-Inch 2560x1440 AH-VA Panel DVI HDMI Monitor
QNIX QX2710 LED Evolution II Multi TRUE10 Matte 27-Inch 2560x1440 AH-VA Panel DVI HDMI Monitor

Pros: No dead pixels Very vibrant colors Looks amazing Extremely fast shipping. Essentially 48 hour shipping from Korea.

Cons: Stand is adequate, but not great. Power cord came with Korean jack and US adapter. I just used the previous monitor's cord.

Overall Review: I haven't tried OCing it yet. The stand takes a lot of effort to attach. Manual appears to be in Korean, but English instructions are in the back. I moved from a 21.5" 1080p to this. Words can't even describe how much better this is.

Dissapointed

BitFenix Spectre Pro LED Red 200mm Case Fan
BitFenix Spectre Pro LED Red 200mm Case Fan

Pros: High airlflow. Bright LEDs. Easy to mount.

Cons: Loud. Light switching is misleading - it only work with bitfenix cases or fan controllers.

Overall Review: The front fan on my CM HAF XM went out. I replaced it with a CM Megaflow 200mm fan, but wanted to be able to turn the LED off from the switch on the case. I turned to the Spectre Pro 200mm fan becuase it is supposed to be quiet and it claims to have an on the fly LED switch. The fan was easy to install in the HAF XM, no need to cut corners off. The LED switch was not compatible and the actual product packaging makes it clear that the switch technology is for *compatible* bitfenix cases and controllers. The fan is loud. Really loud. It makes a high pitched hum. Its not unpleasant, but it is definitely noticeable, it sound almost like a very quiet airplane prop. It is by far the loudest fan in my case (3 other 200mm CM fans, 1 140CM fan). I moved the fan to the side panel when I saw the LED switching was incompatible. I have now removed the fan from the PC entirely and replaced it with the original side panel fan. There has been no change in CPU or GPU temps with the switch, but the PC is much quieter.

Great fans

Noctua NF-A14 FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (140mm, Brown)
Noctua NF-A14 FLX, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (140mm, Brown)

Pros: Very quiet under 12v. Lots of airflow with restricted intake.

Cons: Price, but you get what you pay for. Kinda loud at 12v, but not unbearable by any means.

Overall Review: I want a silent HTPC and I'm using a Fractal Design R4. The installed case fans are noisy at 12v and that was needed to keep the GPU cool (last noisy part of the build). These are running at 7v and are silent. The also keep the GPU about 5-6 degrees cooler as well. HTPC: i5-3570K MSI P67 GD-45 16 GB G.Skill RAM EVGA GTX 480 Seasonic 760W Platinum OCZ Vertex II SSD for OS 6TB Storage ASUS BRD

So that's what all the fuss was about.

Noctua NF-P12 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (120mm, Brown)
Noctua NF-P12 PWM, Premium Quiet Fan, 3-Pin (120mm, Brown)

Pros: -QUIET -Good airflow -Sleeved cord

Cons: -Color (for some. It looks better in person than the pictures.)

Overall Review: The cable is really long. I bought two of these, one for my HTPC since it was too loud and for my main rig. Both fans are on CoolerMaster Hyper Evo 212s. These fans are very quiet. I thought the only reason reason my gaming rig sounded like a jet at load was the GTX480, but the stock fan on the evo was a big part of it. Now, it is noticeable at load, but essentially inaudible otherwise. It cools at least as well as the CM stock fan, maybe a little better (1 degree, but its been cold so hard to say). The cord is too long if using on a cpu cooler, but it can be threaded behind the rubber mounts. Very high quality build, solid plastic. I wish they made 200mm fans. You get what you pay for.

It works when it works.

Logitech Recertified 910-002896 Anywhere Mouse MX Black 5-Button Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser Mouse
Logitech Recertified 910-002896 Anywhere Mouse MX Black 5-Button Tilt Wheel USB RF Wireless Laser Mouse

Pros: Works on glossy surfaces.

Cons: Doesn't work that well. Doesn't read on fabric (which is why I bought it). Takes a long time to "wake up" if you haven't used the mouse in the last 60 seconds.

Overall Review: I bought this to replace my old anywhere mouse, the last version. It worked great for my HTPC until a cup of cocoa was spilled on it. I bought this referbusished because I couldn't see spending $15 more for the same thing. I have bought a refurbished logitech product in the past (a G510) and that was like new. This mouses worse than the cocoa'ed mouse, although the buttons work. Win some, lose some with refurbs.

Works great

SiliconDust HDHR3-CC HDHomeRun PRIME 3-Tuner US CableTV with CableCARD Stream Premium Channels and Cut the Cord
SiliconDust HDHR3-CC HDHomeRun PRIME 3-Tuner US CableTV with CableCARD Stream Premium Channels and Cut the Cord

Pros: Works great, HD TV to every PC in the house. 3 Tuners

Cons: 2 Tuners locked up once. Powercycling the Homerun prime solved the problem.

Overall Review: I have great performance running this to a PC, laptop, and an HTPC connected to a 40" TV. The HTPC is not a high powered system. Athlon64 X2 6000+ 4 GB DDR2 GTX 610 The only time I have experienced any performance problems was when I was trying to fold PrimeGrid at the same time I was watching TV, which I freely admit is ridiculous. This is a phenomenal product and gives you as much DVR room as you have HD space to spare. I only wish there were clearer instructions for linking multiple units for additional tuners since I am thinking about getting another one.
