I simply wanna upgrade gpus but can upgrade both if needed. I play games like apex cod, and stream while playing. I also play stuff like cyberpunk which my gpu struggles with.
Simply jw what’s the best upgrade I can do to increase performance and not break my bank lol
Please any and all help is needed lol there’s 0 videos on a good pair gpu for my Rizen 7
I do not personally think you need to upgrade your Ryzen 7, it is already very good. If your budget is around 700 USD a 9070 xt is a great card. a 5070 ti might be around that price.
check if your PSU can support this upgrade already, otherwise you may need to upgrade that too.
Got the 5080 with a overclocked AMD Ryzen 7 7900x runs amazing had no issues upgraded psu to asus 1150w water cooled the cpu the 7s run hot had no problems with no games have 32gb ram too and 49 in msi monitor curve
What kind of performance can we expect from games? What’s the framerate, resolution, and graphics quality of the games you play at? I’m honestly very curious.
i’m thinking most 70 class GPUs are gonna want a minimum of an 850 W nowadays. when you decide on a GPU check the manufacturers recommendation for the wattage.
I dont recomend moving from a 4060 to a 5060, its almost a sideways move. you would only gain like 20%. At 100fps you would never notice a gain of another 20fps. Even less if you gain 10fps off of 60fps.
You most likley are having issues due to the fact your card is only 8gigs. If you want to stick with a 60 class card for budget reasons I’d recomend the 5060ti 16gb $430 or 9060xt 16gb $380. both perfom very similar.
Well that depends heavily upon what you consider to “break your bank!”
RTX 5060 Ti 16GB cards are available for under $500… they perform poorly for the price.
Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB cards are available for under $400… they perform well for the price. Only about 15% behind an RTX 5070.
The next major step up would be a vanilla AMD Radeon RX 9070 if you could find one in the $550-600 range, and that will be 25% faster than an RTX 5070.
As previously stated, your PSU is a major factor here. You’d want to make sure you have two 8-pin GPU power connectors for the 9060 XT and 9070 options, preferably with at least 650W overall power. For the 5060 Ti, it takes the newer 12VHPWR connector but also includes an adapter in the box to older style power connections.
I’ll use apex as an example max graphics getting 60 frames but on all low (usually what I run) I can get 120+frames outta her. I’m tryna reach round 200 frames. Upgrading my gpu will also help run bigger games like cyberpunk n the next gta but idk what direction to go in someone said the 9070xt should be good.
Thanks for the help y’all 9070xt it is! We gotta upgrade our psu n that’s good bc the one I have rn isn’t modular so all the cords are just in a bundle in my pc lol. Again thanks!!!
