News: Razer fast tracks AI development in Singapore by promising to hire 150 AI engineering roles

Razer has unveiled its new AI Center of Excellence in Singapore, marking the first of three planned global AI hubs with future expansions slated for Europe and the United States designed to fuel innovation in gaming and development tools. This facility will serve as a cornerstone of Razer’s global AI strategy, expanding the brand’s reach and opening pathways for collaborative ventures. The ambitious move is supported by Digital Industry Singapore, a joint initiative among the Economic Development Board, Enterprise Singapore, and the Infocomm Media Development Authority.

This strategic effort comes amid expectations that the gaming industry will approach US$400 billion by 2033, with the AI gaming segment alone projected to grow at a compound annual rate of 28.4% toward US$28 billion. In response, Razer plans to hire 150 AI specialists covering engineering, data science, and game development roles—in Singapore. The company has also rolled out a skills-first, high-engagement recruitment process to attract top-tier talent and accelerate its AI capabilities.
