4 out of 5 eggsSmooth install...

Pros: Installed this into my Antec P160 case. The case fan header was in the perfect spot near the bottom front of the case allowing me to plug the fan coolong my drives directly into the board. After hooking everything up the system booted first time and recognized my Opteron 170 that I bought along with the board (after reseating the RAM in the sockets, new contacts are picky). Was able to boot right into my current Windows installation and only had to reinstall the Nforce chipset drivers for everything to work perfect.

Cons: SPDIF output was bent upwards like others have experienced. 24 pin power connector is in a slightly awkward position in the middle of the board but was manageable with a couple of zip ties and the case frame. Would have liked a little more space between the RAM slots for airflow since DDR500 can run a little warm under load.

Other Thoughts: I bought this board after my roomate took my advice and got the 9NPA+ SLI. Unfortunately Newegg was out of the + series so I settled for the J and am quite happy with it. The lack of firewire and extra SATA connectors on the Silicon Image controller was not enough to make me consider any other board. This is an excellent option for those that want to upgrade to Dual Core/PCI-E on a budget.

5 out of 5 eggsEP-9NPAJ SLI

Pros: This board screams!!!!! I've built many computers using Epox boards and this one runs as I would expect - awesome. 4GB of Dual Chan OCZ Plat, 4200X2, RAID 1 (2)74gb Raptors.

Cons: Took some doing to get it to recognize all 4GB. Opening mem hole solved issue.

Other Thoughts: I love this board!!!

5 out of 5 eggsstable and fast

Pros: Setup with a amd64/3700 san diego,an evga 7900, and 1gig of patriot memory. Had it connected and sitting on floor, waitting to make adjustments in this new build. After 3 days of not having to open the case again, I put it on it's stand and haven't had to touch it yet. Very stable and fast. Really forgiving when overclocked to much, it just reverts to default bios settings on a restart Made this the easiest of the many builds I have done.

Cons: Not AM2 or core duo2

Other Thoughts: Epox email support is excellant, they respond in a day or less. Newest bios removed the 1T setting. I emailed them and now they are going to add it to the new bios. Excellent support. This mobo, AMD64/3700 san diego overclocked to 2.75gig from day 1, evag 7900gt, 1gig(2x512mb) patriot memory makes for a great gaming PC, and has the ability to add another 7900gt and an x2 when it is needed.

5 out of 5 eggsI loved it

Pros: I am just getting rid of mine now

not because of the mobo itself but i need a mobo that will work with watercooling on the chipset

I loved this board - it ran my 3700 sandy at 3.1 stable ON AIR

Ran my x2 3800 @ 2.7 stable ON AIR

GET THIS BOARD :D

Cons: if you want watercooling on the video card you have to sacrifice having a PCIE GPU

Other Thoughts: GET THIS

5 out of 5 eggsEpox has done it again

Pros: This is a Full Featured Epox board. It is indicated by the packaging and manuals this is a "Value" board or a lower scale 9NPAJ+ but it is truly a great mobo. It runs very fast, supports the 3800+ dual core has space for 12 USB ports. It has the standard implementation of AC 97 8 ch audio. and SLI capability to boot.

Cons: Does not have 1394-firewire. Last time I used that- never.

Other Thoughts: People say that Epox had dropped the ball but in my opinion, if you choose rightly then you can get a great quality board from them. The last epox board I owned was an 8KHA+ it was a 266A board.

4 out of 5 eggsSet up was strange

Pros: This is a great motherboard once I got beyond the setup.

Cons: The MB did not recognize any of my hard drives or cd rom drives during setup. I had to change everyhting over to cable select and then let it recognize each device one at a time. Kind of strange
