5 out of 5 eggsTop of the Line.

Pros: Runs my AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ amazing, the Dual Bios and RAID controler are great. running 2 gigs of dual channel DDR and two GeForce 7900 GSOC's on SLI.. Definately would recommend this board to ALL Socket 939 Users.

Cons: Bought mine open box, doesnt come with ANY accesories.. Including the I/O plate.. had to find one aftermarket.

Other Thoughts: I Would recommend running a fan over the nVidia chipset, it runs a bit hot.. other then that... Thumbs up for this board!

2 out of 5 eggsGreat board untill . . . . ..

Pros: Overclocking is pretty easy with this board. Worked perfect for 7 months

Cons: The NB heatsink sits right next to the PCI-e slot so my vid card hangs over it. Recently I can't keep my ram at its designated latency. If I do set it, the bios resets. This is VERY annoying when you have more than one HDD and it defaults to the one that DOESN'T have an OS on it. Someone else also reported this problem in a previous rating.

Other Thoughts: If I had experienced this issue during the first 30 days of owning this board I DEFINITELY would have RMA'd for refund. Now it's too late and I'm stuck with a low grade product. If you are thinking of buying this board, be aware of this issue and research other boards. Pay close attention to the bad reviews on every product you study. Those are really the only ones that matter.

4 out of 5 eggsDVD Rom????

Pros: Well... good design, sound bios, the choices with the processors couldnt be better for AMD, plenty of expansion slots, intigrated sound is pretty good, firewire, TONS of USB expansion choices, never once over heated on me.

Cons: well... when i first got the Motherboard from Newegg i had zero issues, booted up just fine, i got a DVD rom later, attempted to install it and INSTANTLY wouldnt boot anymore, BSoD (memory dump) before it even got past the windows loading screen, wouldnt boot into Knoppix or Ubuntu either, tested memory (good) my IDE cables (good) processor (Good) FOUR different DVD roms (all good), functioned with a basic CD rom (just fine!)...
dont know what caused it but i seriously dislike it,

Other Thoughts: Great product considering i bought one for a friend whos PC i was building at the exact same time, his works with DVD-roms just fine, no issues at all, we have the exact same systems but his board doesnt choke and die instantly like a bug sprayed with RAID.
GIGABYTES RMA/SERVICE is slow, can be costly if they dont find an issue, wouldnt replace my board just go through newegg if you need to RMA it for w/e

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: I just returned a DFI mobo. I had problems from the start. I didn;t have time to screw around and figure it out, so I decided to go with Gigabyte and I am really pleased. Every thing fired right up after I rebuilt my PC with this board. Sli is slick! Right now I am running with Vista and things are flying fast. A lot of over clocking options! Good buy for the price! The manual is very thorough!

Cons: none!

Other Thoughts: This is my 1st gigabyte board, I would recomend GigaByte.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Cheap and runs great!

Cons: Chipset heatsink will burn you if you touch it. I added a small 60mm fan to the inside of my case to blow on the chipset cooler. Now I can touch and not burn.

Other Thoughts: Great board for the money. I was hesitent after reading the reviews, but I am glad I purchased this board.

4 out of 5 eggsNICE BOARD WITH SOME QUIRKS.

Pros: well i have owned this board for about 6 months now. i am running a seagte cheeta 10,000 rpm ultra 2 wide 37.8 gig drive with an adaptec ultra2wide controller card. also have a sound blaster live. my cpu is a amd 3200 venice with stock cooling. video is 6600gt evga. i have had no problems with any of the above components and the functionality of this motherboard. everything has been working fine and stable. i have win xp with service pack 2 installed as my OS. my power supply is an enermax 350w 20 pin and that works fine also with this mobo. I do like the fact that the motherboard has many onboard peripherals and also is very expandable with add on fire wire and usb adapters, etc. the dual bios is a nice feature. the main thing is that the board has been running stable for the time i have owned it. i would recommend this board. happy mobo shopping.

ps--i was able to overclock my 3200 venice on this mobo, from 2 ghz to 2.225 ghz using my stock cooling with arctic silver.

Cons: well here are the quirks. 1. the passive chipset cooler does get extremely hot, so you will have to get some kinda of cooling on it. today i attached in a old k7 heatsink fan onto it. it cooled it down to the touch altho if i ever want to upgrade to a larger graphics card i will have to remove it. also the fan will have to come off if i want to install sata because it is blocking the onboard connectors. 2. i was never able to get the onboard sound to work properly. it might be a driver issue. i hear that this is a problem with the realtek onboard sound.
3. not enough pci slots.it should have a minimum of three pci slots. six would be really nice.
4.the second pci express 16 slot is way to close to the pci slot, creating an poor air circulation for running a second graphics card in sli mode.
and lastely, the ddr memory slots are way to close to eachother, good luck getting memory with large heat spreaders paired in them.

Other Thoughts: happy computering.

1 out of 5 eggsIt was good... For a while

Pros: Everything that this board is loaded with makes it quite desirable; duel bios, sli, gigbit lan, etc (the works). It ran great and problem free for the first year.

Cons: The problem happened recently when I tired to go from one graphics card to SLI mode. Following the propper steps for the graphics cards, the motherboard, and the pcu I installed the second card. Then my computer had trouble starting for afew days and then the board actually died.

Other Thoughts: I don't seem to be the only one having this problem. I'm going to get a new board under the waranty, but I will put it in a different rig. I shall look elsewhere on NewEgg for a more suitable SLI board. Specs: Athlon 64 4000+, x2 7800GT's, 2gig ram, + 600watt pcu
