2 out of 5 eggsUnreliable

Pros: None

Cons: Board Bluescreens or locks up about once a day. Tried swapping memory, power supply, and even processor. No change.
Eliminated all PCI cards and used onboard video. No change. this board is a major disappointment.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Have owned for 9 months and still runs well. Had first and only crash just a few weeks ago. Handles all components very well. Onboard graphics card is beautiful. Took a while to get graphics setup on Linux but was doable. Windows installation was a sinch. Everything you could want for a great price.

Cons: Shipped with a busted Ethernet port. Has caused some trouble, especially with getting Linux setup.

Other Thoughts: The manual is very succinct and complete. Installation is a snap. Shipped in a box rather than wrapped in bubble, which was nice.

3 out of 5 eggsFair but with bus issues

Pros: Inexpensive 754 board
Built in audio is above average
Fits nicely in my Aria case, good CPU positioning
Built in video card is better than most built-ins

Cons: Horrible PCI bus issues with multiple cards
Video card is weaker than just about any addon 3d card.

Other Thoughts: I tried 3 TV cards, all 3 had corrupt pictures under both Windows and Linux. The BT878 has the least problems. When I use the BT878 card and another PCI card (Gigabit Ethernet) at the same time, the system often crashes.

4 out of 5 eggsStill going

Pros: Still an excellent board for the money. I purchased my first over a year ago and its still going strong. I bought a 2nd for my kid two months ago and it worked like a charm.

Cons: I still wish it had more pci slots, but for a micro board you really shouldnt expect to many in the first place.

1 out of 5 eggsJust bad

Pros: Cheap but that could also be a con, because you get what you paid for.

Cons: I loaded it and it worked fine for 2 days. But now when I start up I get a bluescreen.I tried to reload windows seeing if that might help, but now it doesn't even see the hard-drive.After all this I have sent 3 emails to BioStar to get some help and I have yet to hear from them.If I was newegg I would quit selling this MB based on that simple fact alone.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat budget board

Pros: I have built two of these boards and had 0 problems. Great auto overclock features and I use mine about 8 hours a day. fantastic value paired with sempron 3400 overclocked to 2.3 ghz. I have a evga 7900GT and I can play any game at 1024x768 which is good enough for me on a 46" DLP TV. Read the charts the video card dictates most of the performance increases. So save some money and buy a great board and chip for under a $xxx

Cons: none unless you consider anything you buy will be obsolete in 18 months according to Moores law

Other Thoughts: I'll wait for the software to catch up before I go to dual core. Until then sink your money into a quality video card and save some money.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a champ!

Pros: Excellent on-board video. PCI Express slot for future video upgrades. Easy BIOS updating.

Cons: Not dual channel but 754 never will be. Not enough PCI slots.

Other Thoughts: I've bought 4 of these boards so far and all have been fantastic, even exceptional! I did have to put a heatsink on the southbridge chip to keep it cool on two of them. They have great web support and I will buy BioStar products again! Make sure you have adequate surge protection on your AC power. That'll save your bacon more than anything!

5 out of 5 eggsStill running strong

Pros: I have owned this motherboard for over a year now and I have not had any problems with it. It was my first build and it is a simple board with easy to understand instructions, easy installation, and good reliability.

Cons: You get what you pay for. In exchange for a low price and an easy to use design, it's not good for complex builds, but if you're gonna spend more on a board, you're gonna go with socket 939 or AM2. The only thing I don't like about it is no dual-channel support.

Other Thoughts: Sorry to any of you that got it DOA or had it fry on you, but find one MOBO that doesn't have DOA complaints in the reviews. Same goes for customer support. Hope nothing goes wrong because I have yet to hear of a company that's great when something goes wrong. As for those that complain it keeps frying, when electronics fry, it's usually the users fault. It's a simple board, and mine runs very cool, but shove as much as you can on a Micro-ATX board and stuff is gonna go wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsFor internet surfing.

Pros: Installed this as a upgrade from socket A paired with a Sempron 64 3000+. Everything works as it should and the onbd graphics are just fine for surfing the internet and watching DVDs. Did not get for a gameing PC although I have had good luck with these M/bds for that purpose.

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: Good bang for the buck. As usual Newegg is great!

1 out of 5 eggsI will never buy biostar again!

Pros: Good bios feature set

Cons: Board worked 1+ months and is unusable. Biostar support is a joke. I will never buy from them again!
