Here's a video card for the gamer, engineer or artist with precise standards. Using a GeForce 7900GS processor clocked at 500 MHz with 20 pixel pipelines, 256 MB GDDR3 memory (with memory bandwidth of 44.16 GB/sec), you're not talking "slow display" here!

It has dual DVI connectors (with adapters so they can be used on VGA-style monitors), and an integrated TV encoder putting out HDTV, S-Video or Composite Video. SLI-ready (so make certain your power supply can handle it!), it features HDR (High Dynamic Range) for ever more realistic lighting and display effects. PCI Express support to keep up with that fast GPU, it's Vista ready and can display a resolution of 2560 x 1600.

The next generation of games and hi-res HDR applications is here already, so update to a card that knows how to talk to them.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns Great, Gets Hot

Pros: Runs most apps and games great without overclocking, but once you push the clocks, it becomes pretty nice. I'm running it right now, core@560 and mem@1430 with stock cooling and it still stays below 65C. It'll run Medal of Honor:Airborne with all video prefs maxed out and no ill effects.

Cons: The fan is a little noisy at full tilt and it does run a little hot, but throw a zalman v700 on it and it'll be cool and quiet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Card

Pros: Purchased this card to play Oblivion and in anticipation of the next generation of gaming graphical requirements while on a budget.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If you push the card, it will get hot. Make sure your case has good air flow...
This turned out to be a great buy, thanks to all the prior reviewers who helped solidify my decision to purchase this card. Great bang for the buck.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: How do you go wrong with this? The price more than justifies what you give up to the 8800's or the GT/GTX's. And SLI to boot... I'll add a second one soon. (Gaming with 3 monitors, not in SLI)

Cons: Um... none so far

Other Thoughts: Runs perfect both in XP (Who cares about Vista...I'll never use it) and in Linux. Beryl/Compiz smooth as can be and VERY fast GLXGEARS score.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Excellent power, smooth installation, dropped in, grabbed my drivers, and game away!

Cons: Run a tad hot, so make sure your cooling's good.

Other Thoughts: Running an Athlon xp 64 3800+ oc'd to 2.5ghz, 2GB of pc3200 DDR, and this card I can run Age of Empires 3 Max with no problems whatsoever.

2 out of 5 eggsDefective Product

Pros: Performs well.

Cons: I've already had 2 out of 5 cards die within 3 months. Sending in an RMA is time consuming and expensive. Mediocre RMA support. UPS lost/stole one of the card. Huge pain in the a*s.

Other Thoughts: Based on my experience, I would avoid this particular model of card. Unless of course you don't mind the time lost sending cards back and forth, along with the additional shipment costs.

5 out of 5 eggsLOVE IT

Pros: I played fear max settings..

Cons: not dx10.. but come on seriously games that would actually use the full potential of dx10 is gonna take a long timee from now.

Other Thoughts: dont waste your money on 8s w/ dx10 at this time. this card would last you untill dx10 games get better.
im happy with it and you'll be too.

3 out of 5 eggsshort life

Pros: Its my second review and instead of my first one its more negative becouse it died in 7 months of intensive gaming,so I RMA it and it took about 2 weeks to replace it+ 14 dollars for shipping.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: One man wrote that he couldnt replace it because of rebate. However EVGA can replace it without rebate just registrate it on EVGA site.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: There hasn't been anything this card can't handle well. Runs Half-Life 2 on highest settings @ 1440x900 at max frame rate. I haven't found a game yet that makes it stutter. Works flawlessly with Vista.

Cons: Is now the loudest component in my case, but it's by no means loud.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking to play any game on settings that make the game look great (can't say it'll handle highest settings on future games), then this is the card for you.
