Pros: This works wonderfully on my older Linux box (OpenSuSE 10.1, kernel 2.6.16.27) with MythTV. Great picture, good tuner, fast response. The hardware encoder means you can just cat the device to mplayer to check output. Remote control works wonderfully too with lirc (lirc_i2c) and irexec.
Cons: When I bought mine they were out of stock and sent me a newer (non-Linux-compatible) model in the box with a little note. I called Hauppauge and they sent me a new one 2nd day air.

Rating: 2/5pause unacceptible
Pros: bought for claimed good support in Linux drivers, with the intent of using it for mythtv, but have not tested outside of windows yet.
Cons: pause when changing channels is unacceptable
Other Thoughts: setup = Cablebox -> PC TV tuner and I am watching the image on the PC's 21" CRT monitor. When I change channels with the cable remote the pause is almost a full 2-3 seconds later. So much so to pretty much make channel surfing a very painful thing. I fully intend to replace with the Leadtech WinTV2000 PCI card (for like 30 bucks) as replacement. The video feed is just very delayed on this card, same thing happens when powering off the tv, (mute, etc,) you kill the cable box, and the screen goes blank like 3 seconds later. The leadtech reacts almost instantly. I do not use the channel/programming guide with either products.

Rating: 3/5Great below 3GB, Worthless with 4GB+
Pros: This card is a great value for the money if you are looking for a card that works well in Vista (and XP), and can work with Media Center. The picture is pretty decent, and I have not had any problems installing the card.
Cons: If you have 4GB or more memory in your computer or plan to upgrade to 4GB, this card is pretty much worthless. It stops working as soon as you upgrade your memory. Hauppauge is "supposedly" working on drivers, but the problem has been known for well over a year and nothing has been done. Worse, ask a question about it on the UK support forum and the thread gets deleted. Their answer: "Currently we do not have drivers that work". It is very questionable whether drivers will ever be released that work
Other Thoughts: Great card if you never expect to go beyond 3GB or so. Worthless on machines with 4Gb or more.

Rating: 4/5Beautiful card: not for gaming!
Pros: Very high quality connection to computer. Programs work well if you know how to use them.
great for putting VHS to DVD!
Cons: Slow conversion: 3 seconds lag if playing a game software hard to use/learn Remote is horrible can only use windows media player and built in software
Other Thoughts: I bought this card to play my wii on my computer. sadly, the massive lag time made it impossible. The lag is from the conversion to mpeg-1. For watching TV/Movie, you get EXTREMELY great quality. I made at least $300 for making DVD movies from VHS ones for people. I have 3.5GB ram with windows XP professional

Rating: 3/5Great Card..unles you have >3GB of RAM
Pros: Great price, decent picture quality, works right out of the box with Windows Media Center on Vista and is supported by almost every PVR software out there.
Cons: ..well, it was great until I upgraded to 4GB or RAM. Now I get a blank screen and no audio. Unlike most in this situation though, I can actually get video and audio after a reboot, but once I quit Media Center and try to watch TV again..Blank screen.
Hauppauge apparently has been working on a new driver to address this issue, but after more than a year of waiting, I have little hope. Which is really too bad, it's such a great card otherwise.

Rating: 3/5Beware of 64 bit OS memory restrictions
Pros: Great TV tuner when drivers are working properly in 32 bit OS or 64 bit OS with 3GB of memory or less.
Cons: 3 GB memory limit in 64 bit OS confirmed by Hauppauge tech support. When I picked up this product I was using 32 bit XP with my RAM maxed. Then I switched over to Vista 64 bit. Unknowing to me and not explicitly stated in their manual, this product is limited at the time of this writing to the max memory supported by 32 bit XP or Vista. Namely ~3GB. When I initially tried to watch TV with 4GB of memory the tuner did not work. Then I used msconfig to limit my memory (after contacting tech support) to 3.12GB and everything works fine at the cost of losing some of my memory. Therefore if you've planning on using Vista 64 with more than 3GB of memory you've going to have to wait until Hauppauge updates their drivers (if they ever do since it's been over a year and they still haven't released them).

Pros: None
Cons: Buggy software, terrible build quality.
Other Thoughts: The card would not output video or audio for me. I tried the included software (which locked-up continually), the updated software on Hauppauge's website, and a few 3rd party solutions with no success. RMA'd it as a result.

Rating: 5/5Just what I wanted!
Pros: What a great TV tuner card!! WinXP installation went smoothly and the card works even better than I hoped it would. Video quality is awesome! Audio is superb! I expected the audio to require a cable hooked up to the sound card but none was required; the 150 communicates directly with the sound card and even has its own volume control (I had continual problems with my all-in-wonder card and this is vastly superior). I can't imagine anyone having gripes with this card. It doesn't matter if you're an experienced installer or a novice--this card is a dream to work with. The performance meets my stringent standards in every respect. Newegg shipping is the best!
Cons: None. I bought the card for one primary purpose--to watch TV on my computer, which it accomplishes in an outstanding manner. The record function exceeds my expectations and the rest of the software is OK.
Other Thoughts: If you're searching for an excellent TV tuner card, this one should be high on your list. I couldn't have made a better choice.

Rating: 5/5Great card no problems
Pros: This is a GREAT TV tuner, anyone who gives it a bad review either has no idea what they are doing or does not have a good enough computer. It does Everything it is supposed to and on my 20" LCD the picture comes accross crystal clear, even with recorded programs. It works so good i'm even thinking about getting rid of my DVR from Comcast.
Cons: Nope
Other Thoughts: System: Athlon 64x2 (2ghz) 1gig ram 128mb video(shared) 320gb HD and 80gb HD
