The XClio GoodPower 500W power supply is everything an enthusiast could want. Rock-solid construction makes it one of the more durable power supplies in the market. The power output of 500 watts, making it an excellent option for dual-GPU systems. SLI ready, it ensures that your purchase won't be rendered obsolete by the onslaught of newer technologies. The presence of a large 120 mm, ball-bearing fan ensures effective cooling and noise reduction. Vented back panel further aids heat dissipation by channeling air right over the core circuit.
The GoodPower is designed to last, with its MTBF (Mean Time Before Failure) of 80,000+ hours. Usage of industrial grade components ensures stable and unflappable output, and provides protection against power and voltage surges. It comes with one Main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (P4), one Floppy, six peripheral, two PCI-E, and two SATA connectors. Bring the power home, and stop suffering the slings and arrows of outraged opponents!
Pros: Very stable and powerful psu. Currently powers my 8 year old's AMD X2 3600+ Brisbane (Stock 1900 mhz, overclocked to 2612 mhz 24/7) with a EVGA 7600GT 256meg and a sata 20X DVDRW and a EIDE DVDROM and a EIDE WD 200gig HD.
Has plenty of power cables and for awhile I had a EVGA 8800 GTS 320 meg Superclocked card in his system and this psu handled it fantastically (even when I overclocked the 8800's core from 576 to 660mhz and the memory from 850mhz/1700mhz to 1065mhz, effective memory of 2130mhz). 3DMark06 Score of 9353.
Cons: I ordered this seperately from the rest of the build and had to pay $6 extra in shipping, but not this psu's fault (I tried to use the psu that came with my apex case and it wasn't stable when overclocked, had random shutdowns)
Other Thoughts: This psu is recommended as one of the better budget stable units. I've seen it powering Intel Quad Core 6600's with 8800 GTX cards. For this price you can't do better. The only way to upgrade to a better PSU is to spend > $100. Xclio is one of the better brands of psu's.

Good PSU

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: This is a good power supply, easily managed and set up with only one real complication.
Cons: Little bit of heat generation, nothing to scare you away from it, just to be aware, using programs like speedfan can tell you the temperatures of all your parts to make sure they dont get to hot.
Other Thoughts: This was my first computer built by myself and I did it completely alone, but I have heard 2 other cases of this with other psu's and it has come to my attention that someone should mention that if you have a 4 pin cpu connector on your motherboard that you need to split the 8 pin cpu connector on your power supply and only use one of them, this was very frustrating to me because the pins you press in to split the 8 pin connector are very small, but after 2 hours of feeling like a moron, I figured it out, now it works beautifully no problems. It does seem to generate the most heat in my case but that is to be expected, just make sure the fan you have on the back of your computer tower is a good one, blowing air out, you shouldn't have a problem if you do this.
