pure love
- Pros: you get so much with this PS.its quiet, has 2 fans built in.nifty little control for case fans.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: even nice to look at.
Very Good PS, Bad Fans
- Pros: Very stable voltages, modular cables and plugs, great bang for the buck in spite of Cons.
- Cons: Absolutely horrible fans. The 120mm was noisy right out of the box. Inspection confirmed the bearing was defective, and the blade flopping loose against the housing. The cables are a little fat and stiff. There is no reason for that when better cables would cost the Mfr. $1 more per unit.
- Other Thoughts: From the NewEgg reviews, I knew the fans were bad going in, but was willing to change them for some nice LED fans. I'm surprised that NewEgg hasn't asked Sunbeam to fix the fans or "else". This PS is highly recommended to the techies that can change the fans. It's well worth it. Not recommended to the non-techies, because the fans will definitely have to be changed.
Nice PSU
- Pros: I love to overclock and this thing has been supplying stable voltages and plenty of amps. I run my computer 24/7 and haven't had any major problems.
Athlon 64 X2 at 2.75GHz
RAM that needs stable 3.3v
- Cons: The 80mm fan went out and Sunbeam promptly sent me a replacement. I guess it was a common problem I think they fixed that issue with the new fans.
A minor inconvenience is the way the molex plugs are set up. For me at least, each plug seemed to be upside down so in my case the wires for all my 5.25" drives all do some cool looking loops.
- Other Thoughts: A great buy for a very high quality PSU. It's hard to find a modular PSU that has quality.
