5 out of 5 eggsVery nice

Pros: Very nice little player. I took a shot in the dark on this one. I didn't really do my "home work", I needed an pm3 player in a hurry so I just looked at one or two and got this one, but now that I have seen them all I am very glad I went with it. (There are newer ones out mind you, and I didn't look at them when I got this because they wern't out yet. just to point that out.)

The first 5 minutes of use are odd, but once you get the hang of the pad and buttons your good for life. I love the layout of them.
It isn't called sleek for nothing. The design and looks rock.

The radio gets a really strong signal.

Very very nice battery life.

Cons: Like others have said you have to have a usb cable hanging loose when chagring and not hooked up to the computer.

Push pause before turning it off, just to be on the safe side. Mine locked up really bad because it was playing a long song while shutting down.. Kinda a pain but its only done that once on me.

When you record radio with a weak signal, after about 2 minutes of recording time it tunes out then tunes back in in kind of an odd way. I think that an upgrade that Creative has on their site would fix this small bug, but I am not for sure on that. I don't like upgrading things like this unless I *have* to.

Other Thoughts: On your first few plays of your new player, Creative recommends that you drain the battery down all the way before recharging again. I found that out after the fact though so if you don't its no big deal.

And last but not least as a battery-saver tip; if you re-rip your songs on your computer before putting them on your player at a lower bit rate, you lose some sound detail (not much) but you gain battery life. Although for the battery life you gian the sound loss is worth it. (Its really hard to tell with an untrained ear)

4 out of 5 eggsGets the job done!

Pros: It has a very clear graphical user interface, and charges very quickly. Ripping and transferring songs is a breeze! The data port also smells like fruit.

Cons: Kind of a pain, but it doesn't support alot of file types. I used to use iTunes to rip cd's, but it doesn't support the native filetype that iTunes assigns. Be careful!

Other Thoughts: Seriously, the data port smells like juicyfruit.

4 out of 5 eggsgood player, with a few problems

Pros: Good space for songs, software that it comes with is very nice, and easy to use. It has quick charging.

Cons: After a few months of use, it starts to freeze up about every 10 starts, this requires you to take a toothpick and shove it into the reset button on the bottom of the player. Also the headphone input might break off, causing the wiring to be exposed, which messes up the audio sometimes

Other Thoughts: This is is overall a great buy, the player is pretty bulky, though I don't find this a big problem, may bulge your pockets a bit though

5 out of 5 eggsGreat player

Pros: Very fast file transfer rate, easy user interface, nice features (calendar, contact list, FM radio, voice recorder).
Only software needed on a Windows XP machine is Windows Media Player.

Cons: The charger is an unusual design. You have to plug in the USB cable, then plug the AC adapter into the base of the USB cable. Not really a con, just strange having two cables connected to the player at the same time while charging.

Other Thoughts: I purchased an INOi 20GB hard drive/MP3 in May. My brother got one of these for Christmas, and now I'm wanting to sell my INOi & get one of these. It is so easy to sync with Windows Media Player. He is not very computer literate at all and was able to learn how to sync it after me just showing him once. We have not even installed the software that came with it. My cousin, an iPod user, was amazed at the file transfer rate compared to his iPod.

4 out of 5 eggsgood player

Pros: exclent sound quilty and durable brushed aluminum enclosure, its had the bad fate of falling out my hands and spin fast in onto hard concrete, but still payed like it was brand new. ive droped it about 5 times and still plays perfectit

Cons: soft ware seams to be ok nothing much fancy but making plylist is better done on the pc than the player. the headphones were nice, note the "were" tehy they tore on the wire where the line splits for left and right lines. start up time is an issue when you have a lot of files and music on it, a big mark agianst the plyer is the seprate partitions that seprate the music and files witch means you have to slect between 4-20 gigs to have of music and the rest of files, i wish they used one large partition for both.

Other Thoughts: other than the file storage issue its a very good player with exclent sound quilty. but do get your self a better pair of headphones to replace the stock ones that comewith it, also you can use and MTP protocol to transfer music if you want to.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat buy!

Pros: I love the quality that's built into this product. It feels very solid and has worked like a charm for me since day one! I've owned it since last year and had to come back to write a good review for all these negative reviews out there!

Cons: Takes a little long to turn on. Also, buy a good set of headphones, b/c the ones included are horrible! Hard to find good creative accessories in store for this product.

Other Thoughts: I ended up buying the protective case online b/c nearly all store products are for the i-pod. I'd invest a few dollars in a screen protector as well. I'm still not sure why creative gives you such bad headphones for such a quality product..It's like buying a Porsche without getting the premium package..

Pros: Very good player works well, has all the setings a MP3 player should plenty of storage space,

Cons: the only problem i have with this player is that im only using 4GB and it takes for ever to start. its like starting windows from my PC, comes with a cheap little sack to store it in

Other Thoughts: other then slow start time it works well and i have never had any other problems with this player

5 out of 5 eggsworks very well

Pros: very bright OLED, FM radio has a great reception, default earbuds are ok quality, more then enough space for my music, equalizer

Cons: newegg's price, you have to plug in the USB cord in order to hook up the charger to the player, can't view pictures while listening to music

Other Thoughts: i bought this somewhere else at a much lower price. only grudge i have on this player is that you have to hook up the USB cord to the player in order to charge the battery. other then that, this player is a great value for a lot of space for music and pictures. don't know why newegg didn't lower the price on this player yet.

1 out of 5 eggsCreative Quality

Pros: Solid for the first year. Great music storage.

Cons: Failed doing a firmware upgrade when 15 months old. Creative will not support it because it's over a year old. Beware of Creative customer service and quality.

2 out of 5 eggsEh

Pros: The user interface, playlist features and FM radio were nice. Sensitive touch pad wasn't so bad. Overall, It was decent while it lasted.

Cons: Here's where everything went wrong. I tried to add a song to a playlist while the song was playing. The system froze until the battery died out. Since the battery can't be removed, and I couldn't turn it off, I really had no options. It heated and then wouldn't turn back on. Too bad I got it from another retailer and didn't get a warranty. It is outdated anyways. Invest anywhere else but iPod.

Other Thoughts: Creative Labs has the idea right, their customer service sucks, and well... I guess this one product did too.
