Cooler Master combined classic and modern design in the Centurion 5, to create a case that will last. Housing one 3.5" external and five 5.25" drive bays it gives you more room than most people would ever use. It also gives easy access to the two USB 2.0 ports, Firewire port, and two audio ports by placing them front and center. They finished this with a classic black case with modern blue trim to make this an icon for years to come.
That’s just the exterior, though. The interior is where it really shines. The four 3.5" internal hard drives will give you plenty of hard drive space. The front vents feature an ingenious vent system that feature an easy-to-clean filter. The rear 120mm fan and the side air duct will enjoy expelling the hot air from your CPU.
Creating the perfect system will be a quick and painless proposition, as well. Each and every drive bay, both internal and external, features tool free installation, as do the side panel and the seven expansion slots. Make it easy on yourself. Get a case that will support your frequent "tweaks" and changes without skinning your knuckles or cramping your hands.

It's pretty, but...
- Pros: The front cover looks great with the anodized blue aluminum trim and black aluminum bay grills. The front panel push buttons (large one for power and small one for reset) both look good and have a quality feel when pushed. The screwless drive bays work great.
- Cons: 1) The plastic "tooless" card hold-downs don't work well on some cards. For example, the gameport/USB bracket that comes with the case simply can not be held in properly with the plastic hold-down clips (because there is no lip on the bracket for the clip to slip over). No problem, you say, just screw it in? Well, not quite. Yes, the screw holes are there but THEY AREN'T TAPPED! That's right, they are not tapped. Therefore, standard adaptor card hold-down screws just won't do ya. Best find some self-tapping sheet metal screws to hold down your cards in this case. Bad design.
2) The front panel has plastic stops to prevent the 5.25" drives from going in further than flush with the panel. This is unnecessary and means that you'll have to remove all 5.25 drives to pull the front panel. Bad design. Solution: Use a Dremel with a sanding drum to sand off those needless stops.
3) When will manufacturers lose their love affair with overly bright blue LEDs on home appliance
- Other Thoughts: In S3 standby mode my mobo blinks the front panel "power on" led. Unfortunately, the blue LED is so bright that my darkened room resembles a South Beach disco when the 'puter is in S3 sleep mode. Coolermaster: We don't need to see the LEDs from a mile away. Tone down the LED brightness for goodness sakes! I'll be adding an additional series resistor to each of the two front panel LEDs.
- Pros: Great airflow! Looks like a $100+ case. Pictures do no justice. 120mm rear, 80mm in front, that's mainly for the HDDs. The front bezel is made of a metal grille material lined with a thin layer of dust filter inside. Air comes into the case freely, everything stays cool, and still it's almost inaudible with an E6600, 7300GT (fanless) and OCZ 520W PSU installed. Did I mention it looks incredibly snazzy?
- Cons: Others mentioned this, it picks up fingerprints like wilt chamberlain used to pick up barmaids. Nothing a clean moist rag can't fix. I'm not impressed with the drive locking mechanisms, they are solid but no real advantage over screws since you have to screw in half of the drive anyway, which the pictures do not show.
- Other Thoughts: Due to the low price, I was concerned this might be flimsy, loud and noisy, cheap looking, plasticy, or have annoying proprietary innards - but it arrived safely and I was wrong about all of the above. This is definitely worth the price, rebate or not.

Excellent Case
- Pros: Arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Much better quality of workmanship than I expected for a case so inexpensive. I wish I had some more PC's to build so I could order some more of these! With the great, quiet, included case fans, and mesh front, everything runs cool. I didn't realize from looking at the photos that the case would be so visually appealing. Looks great on my desk! The drive clamps worked fine for me.
- Cons: The expansion slot card "tool-less" cheapo plasticy things are worthless.. to me anyways. I broke the first one I monkeyed with. Fortunately, a screw works just fine! I didn't subtract an egg for this-- I'm used to solidly screwing in my cards.
- Other Thoughts: If you have any doubts about whether to order this case or not, just go ahead and buy it. I do not believe you can go wrong.
Very Pleased Times a few
- Pros: Well, Lets see here... We'll list it off. I'll start with this, if your looking for a nice solid case for a basic computer that isn't anything special, just a daily user, this is the case (or the other color, since they are obviously the same...)
- It has a very solid construction for it's price. It's about 90% metal i'de say and it feels great, not all flimsy. - Excelent cooling. I've used one with stock fans and one with aftermarkets. Both were exceptional (and both were nearly silent...) at keeping my hardware nice and frosty. - Has a good amount of space inside for being a mid-tower (i'm used to full towers and my current case is over 2 times the size of this one.. them next to eachother is astonishing. it's a thermaltake xiaser) - The tooless design works great
- Cons: Honestly I can't think of any... it's not free and doesn't come with a HD 5000 series card... Thats all I can think of.
Meh
- Pros: Drive install is a breeze with the easy snaps. No screws or anything. Love that. The case is solid, and cheap for what it is.
- Cons: None of the screws it came with work well as motherboard screws. That, to me, is a major failure. You can't get harddrives into the bays once you put in the video card. The plastic snaps for the PCI/E cards break instantly and are generally useless. I put a GTX 285 in there, it spans two slots (fan), and the snaps are not compatible as a result.
- Other Thoughts: This is a popular case and cheap, but go look around for something else. Cases last a long time, so make sure you are satisfied with what you get.
