NVIDIA's ninth generation series of graphics cards brings cutting edge technology and advanced capabilities together for best-in-class performance. The 9600GT is the solution for all your graphic needs. It’s Microsoft Vista ready and equipped with a PCI-Express 2.0 interface for the most up-to-date system. Its NVIDIA SLI technology doubles your performance range letting you use two graphics cards in parallel.

Support for DirectX 10, Shader Model 4.0, OpenGL 2.0 and NVIDIA's PureVideoHD technologies are also built in. The card's core clock runs at 675MHz, relieving your CPU of pixel crunching duty. Data surges through the 9600's 64 stream processors which are fed by 512MB of 256-bit 1800MHz GDDR3 memory. Twin dual-linked DVI and 400 MHz RAMDAC lets you display 2560 x 1600 resolution video and graphics on even the largest monitors.

The signal can also be output to other video displays via the S-Video and HDTV connectors for maximum flexibility. The 9600GT delivers fluid frame rates and HD video with brilliant clarity to give you an entertainment experience that is easy on the eyes – as well as on the wallet.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Amazing card, all though I bought an XFX version at best buy and over payed about $30 I dont really regret it. I run games with no problems, ex. Call of Duty 4 Max Settings 1680x1050 Resolution and x4AA I never lag, And Company of Heroes with everything almost at Ultra and x4AA, I get 36.2 Frames in that game, Far Cry 2 1680x1050 x2AA and everything on max graphics no problem. Simple one of the best cards per $ value out there I dont care who you are or what you say I am simply stunned by one of these. My friend has a GTX260 and it barley out performs mine. He gets 40.7 Frames in CoH same graphics settings.
Also very easy to overclock with no significant heat.

Cons: I over payed a little more than I wanted but have no regrets.
Just as long as a GTX 260

5 out of 5 eggsthis card is well worth the money.

Pros: nvidia of corse has the easyist control panel out there. The card blows me away i have two and i just purchsed my third with two any game is at full specs except a coulpe you might have to put to high quality. And the card is slim and gives you pleanty of room to work around. so here comes fallout 3,far cry 2, Wolfenstien get prepared. i suggest asus striker formula II mother board 780 3way sli the best board i ever owned and i owned allot.

Cons: no cons at all i highly recommend this card for the money
you cannot beat it.

Other Thoughts: here come the good games!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Best bang for your buck, this card is really good for gaming, crazy rates while playing css, cod, and anything else i throw at it, even plays tf2 completely maxed out on a 22 inch monitor with a garbage e6300=p This card is cheap, sli ready and it shines while in sli, defiantly a good buy.

Cons: 64 stream processors is the only thing bugging me, but its still not even a big deal.

Other Thoughts: had this card for about 5 months now and another one is coming in soon for sli in my 680i motherboard. Id suggest this card to the gamer on a budget for sure, great buy.

5 out of 5 eggsOnly review you need to read!!

Pros: Ok if you are rich and can buy any graphics card on the planet go for bigger (obviously)
This card is so solid I cant explain enough to get my point across, get 2 and put them in SLI you are in for a treat.

Cons: This thing in SLI is so loud until you install the drivers.....that is until you install the drivers, then it purrs like a little kitten...if you dont buy this VGA ur saying u dont like little kittens? ur evil... seriously ppl its a VGA card not a nuclear submarine all the hard stuff is done for you theres no product failures in this VGA! It's a 9000+ series no matter what they cost it's still a 9600+ series Thanks EVGA

Other Thoughts: Now it's an event in the family when the VGA's hang for a sec, I gather the family and we take pictures and tell stories about it years into the future. "I remember when that VGA hung for a sec when you were raiding a 25 man with graphics on very high and u were recording it in full 1680x1050 on ur 22 inch monitors, that was fun times"

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Put it in a Dell XPS 400 with the stock 375W PSU. It's about as high as you're going to go without upgrading the PSU. Works great! No power issues afters hours of gaming, ventilation is great if you don't have a card in the slot above it. Card doesn't get over 65C while putting it to work.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: 9600GT, Radeon 3850/70, or 4670 is about all you're going to get into a Dell XPS 400 without upgrading the PSU. So for people doing research - I've got a 9600GT in, it works, no problems at all, handles all the games you can throw at it with respectable settings and framerates.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat bang for your buck!

Pros: this card took my framerate in WoW from 10 to 180 fps, and all other games play smooth as ice, F.E.A.R. plays at high settings without a problem at 1650x1080 resolution. im pretty satisfied. soon i will be getting crysis to see how much my new comp can take

Cons: none really. except for the fact that the driver cd didnt work. so i had to download the driver online (which only takes like 5-10 minutes overall)

Other Thoughts: download the EVGA precision software, i was able to overclock by a pretty great ammount and keep its stability and temperature. plus just set the fan speed to about 60% and it will be ok, if it gets hotter though, just push up the fan speed.

5 out of 5 eggsSLI Bang for the Buck Greatness

Pros: Set up two of these in SLI right away, I couldn't be happier. 80-120+ fps frames in WoW maxed out, can run Crysis in high settings (no texture filtering) at about 30-60 FPS. Superb performance in Bioshock with 8xAA, almost a constant solid 75FPS with vsync enabled. Easily overclocked and stable to 750mhz core and 2100mhz memory with almost no temperature change!

If you plan on overclocking, use eVGA Precision and set your fan speeds to 90-100%.

Cons: Not as great as I had hoped but really close, I kinda knew this in the beginning comparing it to some of today's more expensive cards. Was hoping it would run Crysis a little better but the game still looks beautiful with these cards in SLI and can run it at a playable speed.

Physically these cards are pretty long but most of todays graphics cards are huge (so not really a con). This is actually one of the smaller ones... Also, the fans get kinda loud when cranked to 100% speed. So if your a noise freak then try to find a good medium of speed/noise when overclocking.

Another thing to note is the cards seem to get a little weird if you overclock the core any more than about 750mhz-775mhz (not a con, but just a heads up).

Other Thoughts: Tested the power of a single card by disabling SLI to see how it does by itself, can run almost any older games with 16x AF and 16xQ AA without skipping a beat. Max Payne 1 & 2, BloodRayne 1 & 2, Far Cry, Serious Sam, Doom 3, Deus Ex 2, GTA San Andreas, Prince of Persia Series, you name it, it will run it like a dream!

Can run most newer games on Medium-Very High settings! If you are buying this card, you might as well plan on getting a second card ASAP if you have an SLI ready board because two of these together because the performance increase is just amazing.
